EGX Birmingham is cancelled then... That's 40 quid I can spend on something else.. Was kinda looking forward to a day with the unwashed 😂 spend it onWASD at Tobacco dock, set up by the team that brought you EGX, Rezzed etc when they were good.
Does anyone know as to what caused the split? I honestly assumed that the "old team" that was responsible for EGX etc being good was still involved with ReedPop. |

Meh. I think I've accepted that the new EG is just Not For Me, so I'm not going to bother visiting the front page just to confirm what I already know. They're writing for a different audience now, and that's fine. Time to move on. Honest question... Who is their audience? With Martin Robinson being the editor, I'd have thought that there would have been a nod towards keeping the site "hardcore". |

They've probably lost a lot of their points of engagement on the comments section by dumping the forum. I know we joke about never visiting the front page, but the few that did always posted highlights back to us of them riling up the comments section with a few choice words. On their own it is probably a lot more of a vacuum and quite dull to engage in.

I went down an EG comment rabbit hole a week or so ago. Apparently quite a few of the more vocal people that would comment regularly on basically every article have left and/or been banned recently since the moderation changed. Quite the drama |
