It is quite sad that they couldn't even pop something on the main site to say about the forum closing. The only reason I checked the front page of EG and read any of their articles is because I was skulking around the forum in the first place.

Still follow EG on Twitter for news so I'll probably still visit when something of interest pops up but I won't be visiting everyday anymore. They obviously don't give a fuck anyway, we were only a handful of users.  |

And icing on the cake, the link to the forum is still the *old* link to the forum (eurogamer.net/forum). In the years since they moved it to community.eurogamer.net they never updated the front page link, just redirected. |

Anyway, that shite-head of the Italian Eurogamer "boss" didn't even care to tell us the forum was nuked. Fortunately we knew from the .net.

I completely lost interest in the EG front page as soon as they started to try and do video content.
You could tell they were pretty incompetent at it, with the cringey thumbnails and awkward banter. They're pretty bad still to this day.
The whole site will be gone in the next few years I bet. If the domain ends up going for cheap we should buy it and redirect it here. Or to bestkitchenswakefield.com

Like most other games sites (and film and some news sites) a lot of the website is regurgitated press releases with an occasional article that’s probably not worth reading. It’s similar on RPS, I used to go there every day but now there’s virtually no actual content. |
