I keep meaning to check out the lore in the game. It's supposed to be quite good (written by JSS, much to the chagrin of some cunts in the community)

Installed this today from gamepass after seeing it on youtube (yeah I'm a bit late) and was half arsing until I accidentally did this in the library. Feel like there's no way i'll top it  |

My run on the first level was just cut short around level 63ish by the grim reaper and it faded to a stage complete screen. What happened?

It's nothing to do with your level. Most stages cap out at 30 mins. One or two at 15 mins. Modifiers can change that as well.

Nope. Like I say, 30 mins is the standard time. Amusingly the screenshot you posted above, I can see you were literally seconds away from completing the second stage that time. Once your time is up you've "won" and death comes for you. Ain't no escaping death. Although I've managed to kill him a couple of times, he just comes straight back.

Cool, just completed Gallo Tower then. Had 2 revives with Krochi and then Death stormed in and smited me.
8 more unlocks, evolved the bible, whip and cross. Game is so much fun

If you keep playing you eventually unlock the characters/weapons/options to complete all of the challenges.
It gets to a point where you physically have to give your run up because youve beaten the clock and the game is playing itself. My record is just over an hour before quitting because I just left it on while my phone was charging. It was very hot when I came back to it.

Keep playing basically. Menya has 118 banishes. Or Divano has 20. Or Sigma, or even any other character with enough eggs. I did it with Sammy from the new DLC in a couple of minutes after he'd been egged up a few times. |

As someone who has finished the unlocks on three different versions of the game, I should really pay more attention to the secrets menu as that's something else to cross off.
I was going to say exdash would be impossible to unlock without Google, but then actually looked in the secrets menu. That text must be new!
No idea how you're supposed to uppercut a blue reaper for example, so it'll be Google for me when I get around to them.

Ugh... Managed to pump too many eggs into Colin, so the game is an unplayable mess when I try to use him now. Game saves are in such a weird location that file history doesn't make a backup of them. Left it running for a while earlier and it was still silky smooth after half an hour: |

Aye, I did the same. Bought it on Xbox despite it being on GP. Then bought the DLC for Steam, Xbox and Android.
I had full achievements on all of them up until now... Time to dip back in!
