I discovered recently that eating razor clams in summer in Eastern France , some distance from the sea , is not. A good idea. Horrendous food poisoning, whole night with the endless runs that are pure water. I’m not calling an ambulance though as I’m a brave little soldier.. Don't eat clams unless there's an 'R' in the month |

I have an insect bite, most have happened last week when I had to sleep with the windows wide open. It's still persistingly itchy and has actually formed a half-bullseye looking rash.
Now a bullseye rash is a symptom of Lyme disease following a tick bite. I can't recall being bitten by a tick, certainly didn't have to remove any. Plus I noticed the bite on Monday or Tuesday night, and I'm pretty sure I don't have any ticks in my room.
But yeah, slight concern there.
I'll just rub some savlon on it.

If it's any consolation I've just had two weeks getting bitten to absolute fuck by fuck knows what and every bite came up looking like a different type of plague pustule. One of them actually turned 2/3s of my forearm red before it subsided. It could just be a random weird reaction to a non-tick bite you have.
Bearing in mind the rash can appear quite a while after a tick bite, so if that's what it was then it might not have happened as recently as you think.
Keep an eye on it and also if you have any other symptoms. As ever, if in doubt, get to your GP.

I think I'll be okay. If nothing else, the articles I read suggest that erythema migrans, the rash that Lyme disease causes, is rarely itchy but *this* is itching like a very itchy thing indeed.

Before even getting out of bed today I was having a stretch and my calf cramped up and it hurt. Can still feel it a bit but too afraid to give it that full stretch it needed in case it does it again.
