Another 3-4hrs 'wasted' on this last night again. It's digital crack really, I did some side quests and a bit more exploring and a few dungeons and hit a helltide.
I don't think i got much loot, but a bit and a few parsgon points, so that first board is coming together.
It's odd. Normally i wouldn't still be playing much beyond story ending for most games, but it's still keeping me going. It's almost relaxing, a bit like skyrim was.

i've stopped playing for now, until the season drops. Its a bit too repetitive at the end, I haven't found a new piece of gear in ages so i'm literally just accumulating money ... for what?
I'm still itching for something to play so i've installed, PoE, Titan Quest, Grim Dawn & way ooooout left field Pillars of Eternity. TQ is too clunky so thats gone. Ran through the beach of PoE and turned it off cos I can't adjust from D4 graphics.
Fired up GD and lost 4 hours in a DoT based inquisitor build. Good god this game is still awesome to play.

I did 70ish hours in both Cyberpunk and Midnight Suns this year, had a great time with both but it really felt like I'd put in long stints and played them a lot, Done about the same hours in Diablo IV and it feels like I've hardly played it this last 6 weeks. |

It's a bit weird past level 70 / 80, feels like there should have been another world tier as it takes an age to find an upgrade.
Playing as a druid, it takes a while to get a good build going, had a lot of fun but will wait until the new season starts to play more, just wondering what class to start as. Seems like the wiz and rogue kind of hit the ground running and have a much easier start than the druid or barb. No idea about Necro but would like to give it a whirl too - too many choices !
Much as I love this game, the nightmare dungeons are a bit of a slog, feels like so much busy work fetching broken pillar pieces to return them to broken pillars a, b and c, really miss the straightforward rifts of D3 where it's just move forward and kill things. Kind of feels like the game is restraining itself to keep the tone.
Also, why does the new season have to start at the same time Remnant II is launching. My plan is to buy it then shelve it for months since this game / drug will take up any gaming time I have.

Can't say I ever feel strong in this compared to D2/D3. Trying to finish Act 3 and have run into another mid-tier boss who soaks more damage than I can deal between potion drops. And this after hunting down some aspects to imprint.

Think there is an option in the settings, but can always be set in the Nvidia/AMD settings. Blizzard games always seem to run hot though. |

Finally near the end I think. Saw the epic battle cutscene. The intro one and this were epic, there should have been one for each act like diablo 3. I'd love a short diablo movie like these cut scenes.

Thankfully no other players, so managed to convert the few I’d accumulated. Aspects then: I note I’d imprinted some gear with an aspect and got the low end of the roll. Anything I can do about that? It’s expensive enough to imprint, let alone do it multiple times. Probably a nudge towards buying gold. Also: to trash legendary gear or pay the extraction fee? I’ve had to bin several pieces in order to get the materials necessary for imprinting. |

If I'm right, when you imprint something, it auto gives you the lowest rolls. If you extract it, I *think* you can save the rolls to imprint it onto something else one time only (may need confirming)
So I generally trash all legendary stuff for the mats regardless unless i really want or need the item.
I remember having a thing where the lowest chance was 20% or something, and then later on I found the same effect but it's lowest roll was 30%, slightly improved. So I overwrote the first one with the new one. Works fine.

askew On mob at moment so can't seem to just link to a post but this is the aspect shit you need I'm right in thinking that if I stick an aspect from the codex on an item, I could also put that aspect on another item again yes? So if I find some boots, put an aspect on it from the codex and then if I find better boots in 10 minutes I could swap the boots out and redo the aspect on the new boots yes? A codex aspect can be imprinted as many times as you like, gear item permitting. It'll always be the lowest roll possible. An aspect extracted from an item can only be imprinted once because it can have random rolls. Some aspects have static values regardless of level (eg 30-40%) or increase by 1 so can theoretically be used at any level. Some aspects have a scaled range where it'll be x (y - z) which increase with ilevel. Low levels my be 130 (100 - 150) but higher might be 1300 (1000 - 1500). Obvs you want the higher ones for end game gear. Be wary that some aspects will change the level requirement of gear so check it before imprinting so that you can still use it afterwards. Aspects imprinted on a 2h weapon have their values improved by 100% and on amulets it's by and extra 50% so keep an eye out for this when imprinting. Any scaled values will likely be better on a weap or ammy Late game you should be selling rares for gold and burning legs for mats. Don't forget to do helltides as it's (unless something has changed recently) your only source of forgotten souls

We've all got them cos they carry over to seasons and give you a head start. Don't feel bad about grabbing a guide and just horsing around to pick them all up. Took me about 2 hours to do it one evening with all the strongholds and went up a couple of levels

For a second there it felt like they might actually have the right idea... No major nerfs for a while and they even boosted XP gains fairly heavily.
Then they pull this shit. I'm tempted to sit the start of the season out now.

There are some improvements but reducing vulnerable damage by 40% just kills my build and there is no easy way to respec and get new gear. Bad mistake I think

Aye, my sorcerer was already enough of a glass cannon beforehand. Doesn't even seem worth playing it now that it's even more glass and less cannon.

I don't have the time or know enough about how my build works to form an opinion on the wall of text on class changes. Helltides taking longer to grind, meh, that i can understand
Which is the least shit class to try for Season 1 after my Druid? Presumably not sorceror....
