The only thing it’s maybe not the best idea to stick aspects on weapons as they tend to get changed out faster.

The flipside to that flipside is that it's always best to chuck your favourite aspects on weapons, as you get double the effect then. (at least you do with two handers)

Got to lvl 43 so I'll do the last area when I get my son back Sunday.
Changed my barbarian to focus on shouts and fast beserking attacks. Seems to have boosted my damage output a decent amount but I also seem more squishy now. My son's rogue is way better, I had a quick go on him and with those freeze and poison traps mixed with shadow arrows and that shadow trap ultimate his character destroyed everything I encountered with ease.

Yeah, levelling a barb is painfully slow and boring. Especially when you're out and about and see people destroying shit 3x faster than you and you're both the same level

Also if you look through the codex and see an aspect you like the look of there is an option to pin it on you map so you can beeline to the dungeon to get it. Some dungeons unlock with story so it doesn't work always

I've found so far that the legendary aspects can be useful or can be shit depending how you play. I've got one that has a 10% chance to cast an arrow storm where I'm shooting my basic rogue skill. That's more useful as it whittles down packs quicker. I'd only swap that out if It was something like a really good crit chance or something.
Another one is a barrier that pops up when you get hit when injured. Doesn't really do much offensive but it gives you breathing space for a minute which is so useful. Another one constantly rearms and re triggers my deathtrap skill till the monster is dead. That can be super useful if its a tough unique as you can cast it on him, and leave him alone. He'lltry and keep coming for you but the death trap will repeatedly pull him back till he's dead so you can just ignore him.
So instead of finding stuff like "kill shit in 2 seconds", I'm more using stuff that has useful utility stuff.
I still want something that kills in 2 seconds but I can't seem to find anything

I find the bubble that pops up fairly annoying. It always pops at an inopportune moment and spreads carefully clustered enemies everywhere. The regular barrier when you damage an elite is great though. Means you've got a barrier up pretty much a third of the time.
Best offensive one I found for rogue was one that splits penetrating shot in multiple directions when it hits someone, which worked well with shadow imbuement.
They're still nowhere near as build defining as slotting in CoE or something like that in D3.

I have the penetrating shot that splinters into two when it hits. I'm using it with poison but at level 41 it's good for crowd control but I'm starting to struggle with powerful single enemies like elites or bosses. My first build was the opposite, good for concentrating damage.

Pick your poison I guess.

Yeah the elite barrier one is good but I do like the other one, mainly because I'm squishy and normally always in the shit. Or surrounded by fucking lightning mobs etc. Yeah, it's nowhere near as brutal as say, the tal rashas hadrigs gift on a lich necro build for example. D3 seemed offensive. D4 seems defensive.

Literally a glass cannon!

Reached Act 6, so on the home stretch of the campaign. How much longer am I likely to have with it? 2 hours? I'm assuming it will be a slightly shorter one.
Really enjoyed Act 5. Feel like they put a lot of cool stuff in there that could have been spread out a bit more. The Donan arc during the act was particularly good and the Tree of Whispers is a great, creepy concept. I've enjoyed most of it up until now, but this section definitely has made what came before feel quite bland.

Depending on what all you do, this act should take two hours or less. There's also a short epilogue with a few quests, though it's nothing too involved. And that's the end of Diablo 4's campaign.

Nice. Will aim to finish it this evening and have the weekend to tidy up some other bits before Season 1 drops. Anything in particular that I should prioritise getting done ahead of the 18th 20th?

Anything in particular that I should prioritise getting done ahead of the 18th? statues and clearing the map fog of war as that shit carries over to season 1. Don't be afraid in digging out an online map and horsing around for them all because some are stupid hard to find.

Get a guide map, and run around collecting Altars of Lilith, and waypoints I'd say.

Going to have to drop to WT1 for a bit as I cannot kill the Beast of Moordaine Lodge – at least not without losing my patience. Thought I was on a roll, but the mobs he summons just drain me so quickly.
Edit: dinged 43 last night and still feel like my damage output ain't great. Ran off down to Hawezar to find a dungeon that has a nice druid aspect.

Get a guide map, and run around collecting Altars of Lilith, and waypoints I'd say. I found the Polygon maps handy for this. They're numbered unlike most other maps, so easier to keep track of which you've done. Just opened the map on a tablet and ploughed through them all over a couple of evenings. I'm hoping that I can just roll a new seasonal character on Xbox and I'll get the achievement for revealing all of the map that I missed due to completing it on PC. Fucked if I'm doing that again!

Yeah, that's what I did for my HC character, and will do if I ever bother to get to 100/max upgrade my potions etc. I just stupidly missed it for fully exploring the map and really can't be arsed doing it all again.

I started trying to clear the remaining fog etc last night, but then did a few side quests, dungeons and happened to be in an area with a helltide event, so i failed miserably. Did a stronghold or two and got a few bonus levelling points for some areas instead though. 3-4hrs just disappeared like that *clicks fingers*

I've only seem him the once so far. Quite early on. Got reamed. That said, looking at my stats, I've barely scratched the surface of the dungeons. Since hitting 58 I am feeling the hooks lessen a bit - I think a lot of you went through this phase for a bit as well. The new season is arriving at a very opportune time from that perspective.

Yeah, I'm 56 or 57 I think and I've slowed a bit. I've done the map and 3 quarters of the renown. I'm just going to use the rest of the time to get the statues now and then decide what type of seasonal character to roll
