Last night I managed to do Act 3,4 and work through act 5 until I did some shroom tea and tripped balls in a swamp. Hoping I'll be able to get through the rest of the campaign today as my spare time is about to plummet again.

Just started engaging with Nightmare Dungeons. Fuck me but those Glyphs are going to take YEARS to upgrade. That... that can't be the way? It means that the only way to MIN/MAX this fucker is to have Nightmare Sigils for everywhere and then wait for the Whispers to happen in that area? But even then, it seems there're tiered sigils. IT NEVER ENDS!  |

Hahaha, don't worry you'll be doing similar stuff from level 55 all the way to season end.
Since we skip the campaign for season 1 then we might be doing similar stuff from level 5 onwards.
We'll have grim favours, strongholds, helltides, legion events, dungeons & nightmare dungeons. Don't know engaging the malignant tunnels will be. Imagine being a 'build' or 'content' creator and having to max 5 chars each season.

I haven't decided how I feel about skipping the campaign for the upcoming season. I'd kinda thought I'd just play it through to learn another class properly and re-experience the journey. Being realistic though I'd probably just get ten levels in and FUCKIT YOLO my way past that into the endgame.  |

IT NEVER ENDS! Leveling glyphs is pretty grindy but you do get more glyph XP the higher nightmare glyph you finish. So try and do the highest level ones you can comfortably finish in a decent amount of time to reduce the grind. |

Right. Now I’m finished I bumped it up to WT2. Now I’m doing some side quests. The loot is fucking crap though. Like red minus figures in the hundreds kind of crap. Should I try this capstone dungeon and whack it up to WT3?

I read somewhere that WT3 was supposed to be a bit better for loot. Going to have to try it myself as everything is mostly disappointing thus far.

It's the only way to get Sacred gear (stuff at your level, rather than 8-10 levels beneath you) and, I think, Unique items too. Plus I'd imagine all the drop rates increase a little as well. Alongside the cash and XP increases it makes sense. More fun to play with more challenge too - obviously as long as it doesn't tip over into frustration.

Okay so I made it pretty far in today before I had to leave.
I made it up to a 5ish minute cutscene that was so fucking good I wish they'd make an FF Advent Children styled movie from this. It was so fucking good, holy fuck. Judging from the mini movie I don't think I'm very far from finishing. Maybe a couple big fights?
I hope there's more cutscenes of that quality before it ends!

Don't forget to use the elixirs for an edge. Ones specific ones to mob types as it helps a bit but so does a life boost or more resource if it's particularly grindy.
If your dungeon states you need to interact with 2 runestones, pay attention to the door after touching the first, if it opens them the second on is through so don't go off wandering around the maze looking for it. Fool me once game .. grrr
If you use a power that stacks based on diff ele types (elementilist glyph for eg) don't shy away from a sigil that adds an ele type you're not mainng as it might add an extra stack of damage. I'm cold/fire so sigils that add electric damage are a lovely boost.
Pay attention to the negative affixes on Dungeons you sturggle with because some can really mess you up. Ones with a floaty fucker that follows you don't half fuck you over in the monster closet room between the 2 levels of a 2 tier dungeon

What the hell is a sigil? You'll eventually start dropping some items with bright blue labels. These are nightmare dungeon sigils and found in your cunsumables tab with the elixrs. You activate one and it makes an existing dungeon harder with some negative affixes on them. Theyre what you use to get phat xp and upgrade your glyphs (the stones you socket in your paragon board) |

I'm confused enough with the bloody paragon board and the glyphs at the moment. I still don't understand one of them. I've unlocked the centre glyph thing, put a dex one in it, and it says to meet the bonus I need to have gained 40 dex within the boards glyph radius. But there are physically not enough dex upgrades to make 40 points, so how do you get the bonus do dads?

Get a rare Glyph to level 15 and it's radius increase by one tile so you can purchase more of what you need. Some glyphs will naturally slot in some places because there are enough nodes close by to get the secondary bonus |

Bear in mind when you get to the end of the paragon board you'll unlock another one. You get to pick that one from a selection (and rotate it before you place it), and it might have a socket that's surrounded by +dex options that would be a better place for the one you're struggling with.
For now you'll probably just have give up on hitting that target until you can move it to a different slot.

While there are some obvious "+5 to this stat" slots, there are also some that might have multiple effects including upping that stat. I had the same initial reaction as you, but when you go looking you might find it hiding in an unexpected place. Or your fucked and you have to increase the radius. Delete as appropriate.  |

Right, thanks chaps. I'm on the right track then. I've been scrutinising the board quite a lot, rotating the other ones, checking out the blue, yellow and basically all of them to see how it fits together - it was just the radius thing that I wasn't 100% on.
Upgrading glyphs is my next mystery to solve

Ah right, nice one. Not come across those yet. You get your first one by completing a Tree of Whispers set Re glyphs,complete a Nightmare Dungeon and you can assign XP to one of your glyphs as part of the rewards. |
