Fair do's. I'd better read up and get an idea. I'm not one for min/maxing, I just want to have a laugh, but equally I don't want to accidentally gimp myself Same, same. I actually kind of play it for the story to be honest. I remember fretting about it for ages and then when I looked it up, it's pretty straight forward because it seems to generally be agreed on how you allocate them for all characters
I believe you can reallocate your stats at some point (in the first camp) but I'm not sure at what point that becomes unlocked so I wouldn't worry too much

Seems it depends on the build but the general consensus seems to be 50/50 split. One camp say lots of vitality and slightly less energy, and the other camp says fuck loads of vitality

Just had a look and from what I can tell, it's not needed (there's a skill called Warmth which is a passive regen increase), plus you'll get mana buffs/leech from equipment. You can replenish mana with potions at the start, but if you're just playing casually, I'd say just put in what you're comfortable with to keep it fun and let you spam your magic. You can respec anyway later on if you want to streamline
edit: there is an exception for a particular Sorc build (Energy Shield)

Yeah, see, I was going to go frozen orb/energy shield so that's why I was looking at what I want to do. Tbh, I might just do energy and some vitality and see how it goes. The game will tell me if I'm doing the wrong thing

I looked at the phone and thought it'd be alright, I'll give em a ring back in a minute because I SIMPLY MUST KILL ALL OF THESE DEMONS RIGHT NOW

Paladin yeah but I had to create an offline char as it wouldn't connect. Don't think I can make it an online one? Was thinking amazon for my online.

I'm just going to wait till the fuss dies down and then roll something online. I can use this time to get familiar with it all again and then plump for an online character to stick with.
But yeah, I'm still sure coop will be fun either way

Treehug is doing alright so far. At first it was annoying having to continually reactivate the shapeshift, but a couple of points into lycanthropy and I can basically be wolfman all the time.
No wolf friends yet, but that will come.

Never played this before. I finished the campaign in 3 but while I enjoyed aspects of that game there were too many parts I didn’t like. When I read up on resurrected it sounded like more of what I like and less of what I don’t. Just bought the PS5 version and the Switch version to take advantage of crossprog on the move. No idea what aim doing yet, just having fun stabbing monsters as the assassin.

Reet, Den of Evil done with Nekrow the Necro. Do I always need a wand to raise a skeleton?

No, you just need the skill from either levelling up or from an item

So... Run this by me again. I don't need to be putting anything into Strength or Dexterity until a weapon really requires it?
/still confused

str & dex bonuses are insignificant, only used to pass gear checks, everything else in vit, nothing in energy. I think I always kept a few stats spare in case I had a new bit of kit, and a sudden need for str or dex.

Right. Sound.
Have to say... I'm fucking loving this. It just feels so good to play, even with a controller. It really does shit over Diablo 3 as far as I'm concerned. Granted it's early days but I'm glad I took the punt on it. Grabbed another half hour this morning so up to Blood Raven now.

So... Run this by me again. I don't need to be putting anything into Strength or Dexterity until a weapon really requires it? /still confused yes. STR or DEX to satisfy any gear level requirements but the rest in VIT. i think there is an energy shield build that requires dumping into energy instead but that's a bit niche. I had a tense crawl through caves to get to the dark wood where I 'offed' blood raven in the burial grounds. wish i'd got a video of that as it looked rather sweet The lack of D3s QoL healing orbs is felt quite often and having to be mindful of active heals and mana pools is an adjustment. I got into a kerfuffle with ColdCrow who nigh on rinsed me until some late stage heal and electro bolt spammage took him down. I looted up but forgot to heal and feeling chuffed i rounded the next stalagmite shadow to be greeted by a volley of arrows to the face. actual death and back to camp. did drop a TP either /facepalm i'm also feeling the tight inventory space. makes looting a bit of a chore but ... i am kinda rich :-)

See I love the lack of health orbs. Diablo 3 was just a case of constantly seeing your health ping up and down up and down wheras this you actually just get to keep a proper eye on it and heal when needed. So much better. Call me old fashioned...
Yeah the inventory is a bit tight, and my gear breaks all the time but... Again. Better!

Hmmm, not sold on this yet tbh. I know it’s old and all that, but it’s very clunky. And that inventory size, plus non-stacking health potions is madness. Characters move like they’ve shit themselves unless sprinting, but then there’s a bizarrely unnecessary stamina bar to stop that. Playing hunt the multiple resurrection-spamming shamen every fight is also getting old quite quickly.

Slightly obscure tip, go left when you're trying to find the next level of any random dungeon. Someone figured out from the code that something like 70% of the time the exit will be in that general direction
