I opted for Skellies only and put another damage dealing skill in there. They're basically just meat (well, bone) shields to stop your Squishy getting Squished (or having to rock a giant shield just to stay alive). Basically crowd control. Corpse Explosion and Blood Lance were my go-to tools for big damage as you're already finding I'm sure. Later on, though, after you've Paragon'd them up a bit they become significantly more capable in their own right. Especially the 5 Mages I have on mine - I can happily make a cup of tea with the game running and will return to find my character alive, well, and standing in pools of cash and loot.  |

Aye, the paragon board and a glyph really helped my minions up their game massively. Glad about it too, as they were pretty shit up to then against bosses etc, but happy now.
I went corpse tendrils /explosion though, so maybe should have gone bone spear or blood lance instead.
I never used golems either as it took away one of muh spellz.

Yep. Annihilated it at 44 with a vastly updated weapon. Definitely worth trying it early and gathering a bit of gear to mow it down later. |

Yeah they just boney shields. Still I think I'm level 34 or 35 and I only have a single aspect on a ring. I guess the power is there because it's all happening with skills, hearts and rare gear.
I've only had 3 legs and so far all shit.

Curator down, also at 44. Really felt like I was smashing my head against a brickwall for a good hour or so there, was scared of staying in melee and it just wasn't working for me. Turns out I had the dps all along I was just being a lil bitch.

I must say I'm enjoying the change to Barbarian. Makes all the difference to actually *see* the bosses, rather than just their feet as I slay them from offscreen. Takes chuffing ages to kill the bosses though - actually have to learn their patterns and attacks. I can see why some of you were calling it too grindy now, although thus far I'm kinda cool with it. A boss should feel like a boss. With my Necromancer they just felt like a fancy Elite as I scythed them down in double-quick time from two screens away. |

I’m doing a regular Necromancer, and looking at progress bars, altars etc etc feel I’m about 5 years behind.

The malignant heart affixes seem pretty dull thus far (on rogue at least). Not sure if they're going to get better as I level more but at L50 the only one I'm actually fond of is the stun grenade one

Yeah I see that. I'd just claimed me renown and had just been mulling over points, and then the whole game froze so I had to quit. Couldn't get back in so will try again tomorrow
Don't like this Internet only bollocks. I really fancied a game tonight. Ended up on dead space as at least that's on a disk and actually let's you play when you want to.
