You know, I just realised we're getting it delivered (no way we're going out to get it in person from the shop, not in this heat and with my dad still finding his footing) so there's a good chance it won't be here until after the weekend... Fuck's sake. At least it's not an out of country delivery, that might have taken weeks |

Who is the worst Nopon? (aside from the obvious answer "all of them")
Riki or Tora?
It's Riki for me. Tora is fucking creepy, but I didn't spend the entirety of the game wanting him and his entire race to die. Riki achieved that for me.

I really should of gone back and finished XBC1 before this came out, but it didn't grab me atall. Maybe just a bit of 2 again to get back in the mood.
For 3, dub or Jp voices? The British voices in 2 were weird but fun imo.

Putting aside the obvious answer of Bana because villain, easily Tatsu (Xenoblade X) for me. Not even close. Tora might have been a perv but at least he was decent comic relief and Poppi QTπ was a beast if you built her up (which admittedly was a bit tedious). Riki was annoying at first but he had some surprisingly wholesome interactions later on (connecting with Dunban as family men and with Melia over her brother) plus his DoT abilities were great. Meanwhile the two biggest moments Tatsu gets are making you almost become chimera food because he wandered to a place you specifically told him not to go and attracted them, and making you get your fucking arm blown off saving him because he felt like dancing into a warzone He wasn't even a playable character to maybe save some face! (all this re: worst Nopon) |

Honestly, this is one of the few JRPG series that I'd happily play with English dubs. I loooove the accents, like the cat people who are Welsh for some reason.

I usually play with English dubs in general because I don't particularly feel the need to switch (barring some games like Ghost of Tsushima and Nioh where it would have felt too out of place for me) but the Xeno dubs are some of the best in the business imo. (some questionable VA direction in 2 aside)
I'd even go as far as to say some of the dub voices are better than the JP originals in these and that's not something I'd say lightly. Dunban stands out in that regard, which is very odd because I've loved his JP voice actor in pretty much everything else he's done, I just can't seem to fit him with Dunban specifically for some reason 😅
