Vaguely related to the guardian article on different groups, I stumbled across ground.news/ recently, which seems like an interesting attempt to bring together news from the all across the political spectrum. Not sure how effective it is, or even if it'll be worth it, but it's an attempt at least. |

I have noticed a lot of artists (comedians and musicians) I like have resurrected their mailing lists for less frequent more thorough communication.
I’m quite enjoying have longer form content delivered in a way that isn’t badgering for attention in its scramble to beat an algorithm.
Lot of mailchimp and substack coming my way now.

BlueSky's moderation team also doing a good job in banning some of the biggest right wing grifting dickheads from the platform once they come on. Mind you, their first few posts within starting a profile are deliberately antagonistic. Kind of speaks to their sad personalities really. Twitter can and is certanly getting to be that right wing utopia of free speech they want, but unless they are arguing with people and getting their voice to be heard it's of no value to them.

Well I'm all siged up. Generally use it for work (posting/reposting graphic design work and general commenting). I know Dorsey is behind this but, fuck me, it's Twitter in look/feel/functionality. Been a while since I posted anything (left X a few years ago) so having to remember who I followed. Ah well seems an ok place at the moment.

Dorsey left apparently. It is now 'run and predominantly owned by chief executive Jay Graber as a US public benefit corporation.'
Quite how long that will last when they need to turn a profit, who knows.
