Best place for this question that I could find: how can I be sure I'm playing the FF7 Remake Intergrade version? If it's the PS5 version of Remake is it basically guaranteed to be Intergrade? I only ask as the box art/store page has the word Intergrade all over it, but in game it's nowhere to be seen...

Can you see/access the Yuffie DLC? If so, it's Intergrade.

Yeah, there's an INTERmission option on the Main Screen. Thanks for the confirmation - it looked plenty pretty, but wanted to make sure.

You’d know the PS4 version immediately after seeing The Door™

Two discs is an interesting way to market it. It's a different era now, so naturally it'll be one disc is to install only and the other is what you use to play the game every time. Similar to GOW Ragnarok and the first part of FF7 Remake. Still though, to advertise it in a way, knowing there's still a lot of the original to cover plus knowing that the next part is the last one..this could be a lengthy game. Perhaps ending on City of the Ancients. Nevermind all the new stuff to include with this other branching timeline stuff. Anyway I'm glad to see it's coming soon, the team up attacks are something I was hoping for since the DLC.

3 months exclusive. Might be talking about the PC version?
Or will this and the FF7 remake be coming to Xbox and maybe Switch 2 next year?
It's a nice looking trailer but I always find them to be a bit all over the place. Same with any Kojima trailer.

3 months exclusive. Might be talking about the PC version? I think quite often these deals involve periods where you can't talk about other versions. They may even have clauses forbidding certain kinds of work on other platforms. I expect that is what this is referring to, rather than we should expect to see it releasing on another platform in 3 months. It will probably be about a year before it is seen on PC (maybe Switch 2, depending on what kind of system that turns out to be). If it does mean it will be coming to PC so soon though, I will definitely be holding off and getting it there instead.

Wasn't the PC version of the first in a terrible state?
Might be worth holding fire at least.
Can't believe it's out in Feb, that's a nice surprise.
The colour palette in this looks great compared to the first game, I can't wait.

First game was an EGS exclusive too I believe, not like it matters, could change here too. This trailer was actually what I wanted to see ever since the remake was announced. We all have seen Midgar, but it's the locations, characters, summons, monsters, mini games of the outside world thay haven't gotten much of the spotlight. They say there's 100hrs of game in this and I can believe it if they do say that the game will end at end of Disc one from the original . I'm very much anticipating this

I wasn't massively sold by Remake - I mean, the trailers and stuff didn't really exite me all that much, for some reason.
The Rebirth trailer has caught my attention a lot more though, to the point where it's making me think about playing Remake just so I feel up to speed to play Rebirth.
(update: Yeah, Remake was on sale so I've just bought it. Even though I know I wont actually see anything that was in the trailer that finally made me want to buy it until I actually buy Rebirth.)

I was gonna say, I think theyre doing a bundle deal, where you can get Remake and Rebirth for £60 or so? Essentially makes the first game free.

I'm on PC so don't think there's any preorders yet? At least not on Steam or Epic or anything

I was eyeing up the bundle on ps5, so I could replay the first one (which I traded and never played the yuffie dlc)
Do you get the first game now?

Just going to post my initial thoughts to Remake here as I can't find a dedicated thread. I'm about 9 hours in, just completed chapter 7. It's been enjoyable enough but I've not been blown away by it so far - which is, to be fair, how I expected I'd feel. I enjoy how it's fleshed out some of the supporting cast, but I'm still not really sold on the fate dementor things. It's pretty cool seeing Midgar realised more fully, good sense of scale. Main characters look great, but does mean I keep noticing how the NPCs appear to just be stock models from Watchdogs or something - the pseudo contemporary design means they fit, but they're entirely generic. Not really been a fan of the combat so far and can't see that changing. Will likely just keep it on easy so I can blast through the remainder without it feeling like (to me) a slog.
To its credit though, there aren't many recent games where I've felt compelled to play 9 hours in less than two days, so it's keeping me engaged, which is more than most newish games do.

I felt pretty similar, but still enjoyed it, and it doesn't outstay its welcome.

You’re not wrong about the NPCs actually. It was weird that none of them looked particularly poor in the slums.
I thought the combat was excellent though

The new trailer has me so excited. It looks basically exactly what I hoped for.
I’ve said for years that no matter what they will have to still follow the same main story beats so I was never really worried about the more deranged fan theories. At this point I’m actually excited to see what they DO change…

I accept my view on the combat is highly subjective and is very much down to me being slow and impatient. I find it difficult to efficiently manage blocking and dodging, whilst also keeping an eye on several ATB meters, let alone switching between characters to use them optimally. Can just about manage when it was one character, but when there are several I just lose track of where everyone.
So I admit it's partly a player issue, but I just can't see myself enjoying it enough to really want to put the effort in (and for me, with my skill level, it would be effort). So Easy mode it is. Even though Easy is a tad too easy. Either that or Classic Normal.
I think I saw there was going to be a turn based Wait mode in Rebirth? I'm quite excited by that if that's true.

Been confirmed that part 2 ends at the Forgotten City, where Aerith dies in the original . I really think a lot of what they’re doing is to make you doubt whether that spoiler can be prevented. I’m far from certain that it’s inevitable, which is pretty cool

I had the opposite with FF16 where I missed the tactical side of Remake. I do think combat for the first halve lacks options and kinda makes every encounter feel the same. Just seeing the world realized with these graphics, characters and music is enough for me. I do hope they improve on the side content, because I really do not feel like repeating the same experience for what feels like the 3rd time.

I found that you don’t really need to manage the rest of your party that much. Enemies tend to ignore the non-player character. Just checking that you know you don’t have to fully switch to the other characters to give them a command? Also I basically never used dodge, there aren’t enough I-frames in my opinion. I focused on block.

I know I don't need to switch for commands If people like it, great, but it's just not really my bag.

I’m far from certain that it’s inevitable, which is pretty cool Assuming they change the spoiler, it will be interesting to see if it's enough of a Holy gaming Grail that the change will piss people off, or if people will like SPOILER being saved... Then again, with the time/fate dementor stuff I think people are expecting that that's exactly what they'll pull eventually, so...
