We had a Nisa nearby, could never decide if it was posh or not. I think Cullens was sort of upmarket though Isn’t Nisa just a Spar type thingy?

Ah, I miss the days of Netto and Discount Giant.
We shall not speak of Freezerland, though.

We had one not too far from us. I still recall the lovely orange on brown colour scheme.
There was another one I was talking about the other day. Willie Low's. Don't know if that was more a Scotland one though.
The orange and brown combo was a choice wasn't it.

When I went to SA with an ex she said we’d go to Spar to get some dinner, I was expecting a choice of Dr Oetker pizzas and Vesta chow mien but it turns out it’s a legitimate operation down there

Dr Oetker pizzas are weird. I actually like them in a weird way but they taste unlike any other pizza.

Willie Low's was definitely a very 70's colour scheme.

From The Guardian... If you have difficulty standing on one leg, it could be a sign of something more serious than overdoing it at the office summer drinks party. Middle-aged and elderly people who cannot balance on one leg for 10 seconds are almost twice as likely to die within 10 years than those who can, research suggests. How well a person can balance can offer an insight into their health. Previous research, for instance, indicates that an inability to balance on one leg is linked to a greater risk of stroke. People with poor balance have also been found to perform worse in tests of mental decline, suggesting a link with dementia. Piece of pish, looks like I've got a good 10 years left. try it with your eyes closed.

Have we done white dog shit and jazz mags stuffed in a poly bag under hidden in a stone wall out by the forest yet? that last one would make a good collectable in a Skyrim mod.

How are any of you lot even playing video games any more with your arthritis and bad eye sight Badly word. I'm hopeful that as game developers get older, they'll out bigger fonts on Switch games. Ideally I'd love a Switch with a 2x bigger screen. I'm dust about work laptops begin unusable because they've prioritized screen resolution over all else.

My fear of heights grows as I get older. Ergo, more cliff deaths in games. It seems it's my lot in life.

Came *this* close to getting a hearing test at my recent opticians appointment.
Not quite ready to put my second foot nearer the grave though. I was devastated enough when I needed glasses 10+ years ago.
Maybe next time, gadget.

I still have a sore hip. I had to bend over and pick something up earlier and I did that whole spread legged slow bending over thing that old people do.
I made a noise not unlike "mhehhhhunngkt" as I did so.

I remember Gateway. I remember when they took over from Fine Fare in fact.
ecosse Pretty sure anyway. Gateway bought them. Bloody hell Wunty. I remember Fine Fare and when it became Gateway before it then became the Asda. I thought I was the only one that recalled Fine Fare. No idea how widespread they were. Fine Fare Yellow Pack budget range... I think Asda do something similar now in thsese hard times
