Re England, its nice to see the depth we have. When Foden, Bellingham et al are not available we have players like Grealish, Gomes, Gordon, Madueke, Colwill, Lewis who can step in. I'm a little surprised Maddison didn't get in, but it shows the depth we have. It may be me not remembering correctly, but I'm sure in previous 'golden generations', when any of the first 11 were not available there was a noticeable step down in quality to the next tier. Doesn't seem to be the case any more. If we can select the right manager, we could have a really exciting few tournaments ahead. I agree. This is probably the strongest group of my lifetime. The depth in attack is crazy. There are still some positions where we look a little light (CF, LB) but there really seems a conveyor belt of talent now rather than it being sporadic. An unintended consequence of PSR and Brexit has meant the top clubs are massively incentivised to develop domestic talent. It's pretty much the only good outcome of Brexit. We should be braced for a Panaroma episode around 2027 that reveals the true impact on personal development and mental health from having PL clubs treat 14 year old children as investments and assets, but until then, let's enjoy it. |

Big fan of the squad rotation - we've got such a small pool of players to pick from (and I haven't a clue who half the team are), so great to see them getting good minutes.

Especially when you consider a lot of these players aren't getting regular game time at club level.
Yes, we'll probably get a pasting again the top teams but it sure is fun to watch us play for once.
