It's the deep breath before the plunge.
I was sitting watching and at the end of the episode I'm thinking 'this is just good drama. It doesn't even need to be Star Wars, or this isn't overtly sci-fi, it's just good stuff'
I am enjoying very much

And here is a lovely aerial shot of the Imperial base on Dahlrida. The rebels must have been successful as the thing has been cleared of Imperial scum goo.gl/maps/22w8BPkjS42uwfZQA

Absolutely loving this. Everything is just done so well, it really is top tier TV.
It's so Star Wars in its design, but without the force or any of the main characters needing shoehorned in. Those characters and locations that are, feel essential to the story. As much as I loved Mando, it overdid the references at times. In this last episode we got a single Tie being more menacing, adding more sense of dread, than anything in EPS7-9, just by doing a flyby.
Obviously I want to know how the heist will go down, but I also want to know who Uncle Harlo is, whats going to happen to Mon Mothma and her family, is Cassians sister still alive?
Brilliantly written, superb acting, stunning prop and set design, great pacing. Only complaint is having to wait a week between episodes.

How many episodes left to go? Given the positive buzz, I will possibly end up bingeing it rather than suffer the pain of having to wait a WHOLE week until the next one.

It’s just quality from top to bottom The Star Wars is just icing on the cake

Only watched the first one, are there many big action scenes and stuff? I'm away for the week and was thinking of downloading them to watch on the tablet but dunno whether it's worth waiting to watch them on the big TV and sound system.

It's not the biggest action scenes per se, but I think it's worth watching on the big TV for sure. The landscapes are worth it, and the effects are really good generally. I would watch at least the first 3 together too - it was a good move to release them all at once as it is fairly slow in the first 3 mini arc

Definitely think this benefits from the big screen, the set and prop design is top notch and the location shots are stunning. It sounds glorious to so again, the sound system will benefit.

I’ll have to rewatch part of that some time because I was quite confused who survived and how. Too tired. Good episode though.

Only thing about the realism of this show is… why don’t the Empire use grunts as opposed to stormtroopers. The former can actually hit what they are shooting at They keep reinforcing the message that the Empire’s flaw is it’s arrogance. As this follows what we saw in Luke and Palpatine’s exchange in Jedi, it is fitting. They’ve also established that discipline here is lapse, a perfect combo to exploit, should one wish. Plus they live in a universe where a man with a jet pack is taken out by a partially sighted man, flailing a stick; and he was considered amongst the most dangerous. I am certain more people in Star Wars are taken out by inadvertently crashing into something than actual combat.

It's an interesting evolution over the series so far that it's gone from rentacops to Imperial army does that mean Stormtroopers next story arc?

Fully caught up to this now and this show's pretty much all I wanted from a mature Star Wars TV show. I can't even believe that wasn't the season finale, it was so grand and epic. One thing I do like is that in other Star Wars shows if you get sliced, stabbed, shot, spinal cord slashed open? They’ll fix you up with machine parts.
In this show? You die.

Pretty mad we are only halfway through the season too. It’s still just building up.
Love that each episode is so long as well
I wonder what the show runners of coming series are thinking. The bar for quality has been raised very high. Going to be a lot, lot harder to swallow shonky ‘dafuq’ writing in future.
Who knows, maybe they’ll stop shooting the first draft of every script from now on.

Absolutely brilliant episode. At the weekend, between episodes, I watched Rogue One for the first time since I saw it at the cinema. It just confirmed it's the best Star Wars movie. You heard me - better than Empire! Okay, on a par with it at least. The Gilroys can do all Star Wars as far as I'm concerned, though I'm not sure how many heist movies or suicide mission plot lines they can get away with.

One thing is puzzling me a bit about last night's episode, and I feel a bit stupid asking but here goes: Why did Cassian kill Skeen so quickly / suddenly? It seemed a bit...harsh. Was it just sheer rage at the lie (the brother story) and betrayal, the feeling Skeen had manipulated him? Or was there more to it e.g. self-preservation (he'd put himself in danger by turning Skeen down)? I've been pondering it and don't have a good answer. I know we've seen him kill in (relatively) cold blood before. So I guess it serves as a reminder of his nature, though that feels a bit forced.
