I haven’t got my glasses on and read that as “I bum…”, found it equally moving, to be honest.

The writing and acting are fucking nuts how good it is. Just to give myself a breather I watched about 20 minutes of “The Black Hole” - one of the worst movies ever made. If you want to laugh at how bad a script can be, try watching it. Disney saw Star Wars and pooped out this glorious turd in response, and now we can watch both on Disney Plus. Everyone knows that to stop a maniac blade-spinning robot you just need a good book in the way. Bloody loved Black Hole as a kid. One of the few films I got to see at the cinema.

If "The Black Hole" is one of the worst movies ever made then you've not seen enough movies. It's flawed and clearly was Disney jumping on the Star Wars bandwagon but it's a perfectly watchable film with some excellent production design, the robots are great. Slim Pickens as Old BOB and Roddy McDowell as VINCENT were fun and Maximilian was pretty damn scary for the audience it was aimed at. Having the villain end up in what's clearly Hell is quite something too.
And yes I know me and Nemesis are probably showing our age as actually seeing it at the cinema when it came out...

Which I had to google and hot damn, Shrinky Dinks are still a thing! Going yo have to buy some for my daughter. Use them to help her overcome her fear of getting burned using the oven
Or ensure she never has oven baked pizza, chips or makes her own lasagne throughout her life.

And now I have a reason to rewatch earlier eps, just to see if there's any indications to the latest twist. And the Empire got lazy building those prisons so close to coastline. Thankfully my fear of leaving it at "oh shit, water, we forgot" has passed. On the run huzzah ! Left Andy in a bit of a pickle though. And we'll never know what components they were building. Show's ruined.

Serkis and Skarsgard speeches were fantastic in both script and delivery. I can't think of another Disney/Marvel show that's anywhere close in terms of sheer class. I sincerley hope that this gets recognition come awards season to convince those who haven't watched it through bad word of mouth, and Disney, that there is a need for this type of show.

That final monologue was incredible in both writing and delivery. This might be my favourite Star Wars TV/movie. “I am condemned to use the tools of my enemy to defeat them. I burn my decency for someone else’s future.” Just fucking brilliant Edit: almost goes without saying that the rest of the episode was excellent, but post “what have you sacrificed?”.. whew lad.

This transcends Star Wars. It strange, it relies entirely on it being Star Wars, but I’m watching it and it isn’t hitting you over the head with Star Wars. It’s just fucking great TV

It's refreshing to see a series where the characters are making the correct, logical actions and having to deal with the consequences of them. No-one's being an idiot, they're all just approaching things in different ways.

I hope we get to find out Andy's okay. Only annoying thing about that entire incredible section of the show. I imagine it would help create an interesting retrospective on his whole arc on rewatch. He knew that there was no escape for him which helped in his initial mindset we see him. But learning what he does, he helped orchestrate the plan knowing there would be no ship, no easy way to escape for him. Like he said in the episode, "We just have to assume we're all dead anyway", including himself. But he helped regardless, he did his part in order to help the others get out. And he was content with that. On parallel with Luthen's speech later, burning his own life for a sunrise he'll never see.

What an episode. These episodes since Andor was sent to prison have been fantastic.
If this show wasn’t “only” Star Wars this arc would be getting so wanked over mainstream press.

My theory on what they were building was bits to join outer plates of The Death Star together. If you were making a massive spheroid you’d need joiny things like that.

My only complaint was - Seeing the Imperial’s cowering. They’ve have been shown to be menacing and effective in every other scene. I get that they were outnumbered, but it would have added some dramatic tension if they had tried to stop the prison break. Other than that it was fantastic. Loved all the other incidentals, where is the Mon Mothma story going, and those speeches. Absolutely nailing this series. I second the call that this show deserves all the critical praise it has rightly earnt.

At this point I will actually be sorely disappointed if any Jedi or Vader or palps turn up. I really really hope they don’t. Let it be its own thing! HAVING SAID THAT: (conjecture here but maybe giving away a twist if it’s true) Luthen’s assistant is Leia right? He calls her “Kleya” but I misheard him first time and now I can’t shake the feeling. She even looks like her!!

Perhaps I’m out of step, again, but there’s not a single cuddly puffin or plucky teddy bear or reggae giraffe. It’s alright, but the stuff that *really* lifted things is missing 🤷♂️

I was impressed that the place the guy with the moustache walked through was full of non humans. Other series seem to have had almost none but this seems to be putting in a societal split that makes sense.

I like the line from Gilroy, ‘we’re in the kitchen not the restaurant’
Hard to turn into a tag line but it encapsulates the show well
I fully expect the last two episodes to be epic. People going to die. I’m going to deeply miss Andor Wednesday in a fortnight
