Yes. Delighted.
I’ve got Street Fighter 6, Batman: Gotham City, Vampire Survivors, Project Zombiod and Shadow Tactics. Looking to put EmuDeck on there next week.

Ordered! How well does Zomboid run on it? I play it on the deck all the time. Runs smooth and no problems I have faced apart from zombies killing me every day. Controls are manageable.

Thanks. I might end up playing it more as a handheld title.

how long does it take to deliver .... i want it noooooooow!
its been 'in transit' since 4pm friday and still no further update. surely it has to hit some other touch points on its journey or did it land on that miraculous one single van that's going direct from the Netherlands to my house ?

You should have a Parcelforce tracking number on the GLS tracking too, that might be kept more up to date. My launch OLED spent a while in transit though.

It was 18 months back, but I seem to recall I didn't get detailed tracking until it was in the UK. Might be conflating it with other gear I bought and hardly used though.

As others have said, when I ordered mine the tracking didn't update until basically the day it was out for delivery with Parcelforce. GLS's tracking didn't update at all. Think it took less than a week to arrive.

For the first few months it was my Retro Box. Loved it. Then it went untouched for about a year. Just recently I've been playing Cult of the Lamb on it to try and reignite the love. It's kinda working.

Honestly, I've got too many toys. Whenever I visit Steam though, I go "ooh, OLED".

I got more use of mine as a low power alternative to my pc, my main PC is mostly a sim racing rig and brought downstairs to my desk for high power games. A single usb has all input devices so switching that and placing the deck into its dock brings it to life for open uni work, general web browsing and downloading.
I do play the steamos part in handheld mode but that comes in bursts and more in the summer out the garden. I did travel to London on coach a few weeks ago and used it as its meant.

I know I'd both love one and would never use it. I love the idea of full fat big budget games more than the execution. I own stuff like Skyrim, Bioshock and Borderlands on switch even though first person games are horrible when the analogs are stuck to the screen. Maybe higher frame rate and better sticks would help, I don't know.

That said, if you can get Diablo 4 working somehow, that would be ace as Diablo 3 works perfectly on the switch.

I grabbed a dock for mine and mainly play it connected to the TV for simpler stuff (played through pretty much all of cult of the lamb and dredge on the TV recently) It spends most of its life in the carry case next to my couch.
As much as I love it, it's just too chunky to really consider it as a portable for my commute.
I'd imagine it'll get a decent bit of use again for streaming P3R shortly.
And yeah, it was ace for Diablo 4 back when I was into that. A bit of a faff to get the battle net version working, but Steam version runs natively apparently.

I think that my conclusion is that the best handheld games are on erm… handhelds? So I’m kind of tempted by the Analogue Pocket right now. But I guess I should probably try some GB emulators on SD first.

Yeah, I got an RG35XX+ for that. Slips into my jacket pocket and is absolutely perfect for a quick blast on the move.

Grim Dawn has full controller support I think. It’s a bit rough from what I played but the Deck saves it because of the touch pads.

Still use mine fairly regularly, but not for a huge amount of time. I mostly use it for an hour or so on a Saturday and/or Sunday morning, lying in bed, and usually for barely an hour on my commute home, which is normally only once a week. So, pretty consistently use it for 2-3 hours a week. Have been playing FF7 (original) on it for months now and finally getting towards the end. I'm getting enough use out of it, but not as much as I probably could be
For the most part, I'm just going to use my main PC when I'm at home. I could definitely see some merit of using it as a low power machine though, for when you just want to play a 2D or non-taxing 3D game. I'm sure my desktop would use huge amount more power doing the same thing and it would be just as good playing a lot of indie games.

One thing I did during summer was play on Deck a lot more than my main PC. Much better when it’s hot to just put 20 watts of heat into the room than 300.

I don't know much about the Steam Deck but I remember that launch video for their controller with those two big circular touch pads and the kid who was playing was getting headshots like with a mouse?

You can do what you want with it, Joypad controls with mouse pad or right thumbstick options or just all keyboard and mouse controls translated with community settings all a few clicks away.

I find the gyro controls better for FPS aiming in shooters and stuff. But yeah you can use the touch pads.

That was one of the things they demonstrated with the original Steam controller, playing Portal while using the thumb pad almost like a trackball. You flick it to get the view going and can then stop it by touching your thumb to the pad - it feels really natural and is great for navigating mouse interfaces.
