ecosse yeah, generally referred to as SUPs. It's good fun. It's really popular here, earlier today I saw quite a few people doing it, was thinking that it must be knackering! Oh yeah it's hard work - great for the core especially. My arms are aching this morning due to more kayaking than standing last night.

ecosse yeah, generally referred to as SUPs. It's good fun. mikeck first time we'd managed to get out this year. Only got a cheapo one but quite impressed for the price (Β£150!). Nowhere near as good as others I've tried (more unstable mostly) but beggars can't be choosers, and given I mostly only use my knees (crap knees making it hard to actually get up) I was quite surprised. Was chuffed that the boy (12) has got the hang of it though, last year he couldn't master it which led to lots of tears. Also looking to get a kayak, as my daughter (9) won't be able to use it independently for yonks. Keeping my eyes peeled for a 2nd hand one. Dougs it's a challenge for the kids I can imagine for sure. As my daughter's only 5 I get her sitting on the board just in front of me and then either sit with her, or if conditions are calm, stand for a bit. She wants to go out further and further each time we get on the board so she definitely takes after me and my love for the water (part of the reason we relocated from Surrey back down to my neck of the woods in Devon). Glad your son got the hang of it, it's always tough watching them struggle with something you know they'll love if they perservere.

My eldest is the sort of kid that expects to be an expert the instant he tries anything.

I know quite a few of those children, they also easily get quite grumpy/upset when they realise they are in fact not experts.

I'm trying to trim my beard, but my trimmer's battery is low. I've plugged it in, but it discharges more quickly than it charges, so I'm trimming a bit, then waiting a few minutes, then trimming a bit more...

No, that's because I'm a Nazi. Do a silly trim - the Abe Lincoln is solid. Then wait for a couple of hours as it charges, no?

Well, I was time limited as I'm heading into town for a few drinks. I got my beard trimmer, but not enough time to do my nose hair. So no-one look up my nose, okay?

Got a lie in for fathers day and then presents from my daughter. (mainly bbq stuff)
Taking her on her first cinema trip to Buzz Lightyear and then going to get gyros pitta's.
I did want her first cinema trip to echo mine(Jurassic Park) but the reviews for the new one were too bad.

Because I am a wage slave, I did some overtime this weekend. The other half is away for the weekend, so I am looking after my son on my own for a week. Have also decided to take a week off, so I can have some time without the family and play videogames like I am a teenager again. Got an assortment of hipster beers for father's day. Now watching the latest episode of Ms Marvel.

My missus is going away for a long weekend next month and the first thing I did was mark myself as not available for OOH stuff on my team's calendar. Beer, pizza and more beer here we come! Love a bit of me time.

My other lads birthday today, so 2 in 2 days. Gone well really. Good food, lots of cake, playing switch with them and all. Bit of exhaustion is kicking in now I think on all sides, still lots to do for tonight but all going to sleep well I think.

Played golf with two friends, one I hadn't seen for a while. Lost by my very last putt being on the precipice of the hole and not dropping in. Prior to this managed to hit a shot in the bunker against the grass bank in front of me, only for it to ricochet over my head and behind me, onto the tee of the next hole where a guy was just about to swing his driver. Was quite the freak moment. GG all round, will play again.

I performed in a short play today. First time I've acted in over a decade.
Another actor threw in a curve ball suggestion for us that wasn't in the script 5 minutes before performing, and I just had to roll with it.
Then went to a tea garden and had a cream tea. Then went to Birling Gap.

I'd secretly love to try acting. I shied away from it for so long, even when given some quite good opportunities. Just had a mental block and convinced myself that directing and other backstage roles are more my style. I feel like I've managed to turn a corner somehow, it was quite easy!

Some dog walks (Sunday is Boxer Club, someone brought a bloody labrador, but we let her come!), a bit of cooking and a LOT of chores. Cleaning, cleaned out the interior of the dog wagon for the first time in a year (phew-wee!). I'm shattered. Going to fall asleep on the sofa with a movie.
Mrs Dogbot is home on Wednesday and there's no way she will be disappointed with the house and suchlike. π

@freddie Surely an excuse for an upgrade!
Went on a 4m coastal walk (wasn't meant to be that long but the path we'd planned to use was closed due to a landslip), swim in the pool where we were staying, then board games before the weather turned and we decided to head home early. The wind made it a bit cold last night and the school run was looking stressful. Back for beer, gin, wine and spag bol. Lovely!

Stopped going after that
