This happened yesterday, but I won the holiday park quiz (with a bit of help from my son).

Lovely, early morning tab across the fields with pup, before it got too warm. He's now completely crashed.
Came home, made breakfast, did some chores and am now going to sit down and investigate PS+ properly with a pot of good coffee.
Might even have a nap.

Sounds like a great way to spend the afternoon dogbot.
Kiddo is in a class now, so once that's finished back home for lunch and maybe an extended Lego play together. Mrs mikeck and I are off to see Top Gun Maverick in 4DX (wind and shit) this evening, so that's a good way to end the day.

Went to a food festival today, a mate has a chilli stall so thought would pop in and say hi. Ended up spending the day working in the stall, it is so much fun surprisingly. Lots of encouraging drunk lads to outdo each other with bigger samples of Caroline reaper sauce etc.
Then off to banger racing. Something I have never done before but it is great fun. Proper redneck crowd, you can actually taste the rubber and oil on your tongue and some of the crashes are fucking insane.
A good day.

Went to a charity picnic thing yesterday evening, which was the whitest, most middle class thing I've ever seen. Ended up getting pretty hammered, so today is mostly feeling sorry for myself. Thankfully the sun is out, so I'm in the hammock with a couple of ice cold hair of the dog stubbies.

Having a self-care day after a stressful work week.
Re-stocked the fridge with goodness, ordered myself some new clothes for the first time in absolutely ages, re-dyed my hair to the preferred blue and banished the root outgrowth so I feel like me again, made myself some tempura-battered chicken and hash browns for lunch, about to enjoy some gaming, pub with some friends planned for this evening.

Spent a couple of hours in Matlock Bath.
Not with the bike because a ) it has no MOT until at least Tuesday and b ) we had the little ‘un with us.
Plenty of other bikes to see, though.

Played golf. Narrow win. After last weekends freak bunker shot that went over my own head onto the tee of the next hole, I had an even better one today...
Was in bit of trouble in the trees. Was aiming to go through the middle of two onto the fairway. Took the shot, hits the tree about 15 yards away, ricochets back towards me, snap out my left hand, pluck the ball out of the air. Technically a free shot right as it didn't hit the ground?!
Then we played squash afterwards. Good day.

Was lazy, had lunch and then tidied up around the front yard a bit. Discovered the front door is not hose proof. Then 2 things happened that I never thought would happen, 1 I was invited/curated to have a couple of my macro photos be displayed in an online gallery and 2, sold an haiku(for around 30 cents but I'll take it).
Going to faff about waiting for fresh cooked homemade bread to go with Thai style pumpkin soup and listen to some music or podcasts in a minute.

Got inspired after I realised how conspicuously absent such a thing was, and by the fact I just ordered a Razer Wolverine to replace the Xbox Elite that developed what is apparently an absurdly common fault just after the warranty expired, because of course it would.

Well done on both achievements. Unless the reward was part of the presentation.

I've done literally nothing since 6:45am. The other guy in my office is off for two weeks and the stores dept. at work didn't have the stuff I needed in stock for packing samples so I've just watched shit on YouTube all day. Should probably make an effort not to do the same when I get in.

15th wedding anniversary today, so after work, we managed to grab a quick drink and a snack in a pub whilst the kids were at trampolining. Ridiculous that life is so hectic that's the best we could do today! Wife fell asleep on the sofa, I'm finishing some red wine and cheese, happy days.

If you want a proper celebration without the lil Dougses I'll babysit. I'll bring my own barbecue.

Might be going out at the weekend but other shit going on too which will need rearranging. Ideally want to get away for a couple of nights but everything is heller expensive.

Today I shall be doing a morning interview to establish if I am to blame for an accident I was involved in yesterday. Someone pulled out of a driveway straight into the passenger side of my van as they were looking the other way when they did it, went straight into the side and damaged their range rover quite badly. It's not my fault but it creates a load of red tape to deal with and quite likely I will have to have a supervisor go out with me to assess me for a day. It's a load of shit I could do without to be honest but the main thing is that the other driver and their passengers are all ok.
So there is my Friday, yay.

Is that near Watford? I think there’s a nice course round there - The Grove I think it’s called never played it but I’ve stayed in Watford quite a few times when I’ve been going to Wembley I’m always on the look out for new courses. Played one called Leasowe this morning, it was an absolute bargain for £30. Greens were immaculate
