Met my new class today. They're not bad. Some of them are a bit cocky but someone saying 'butthole' very loudly gave me the opportunity to set some expectations fairly early on.

Been food shopping this morning, taken the boys to a skatepark now and this afternoon I'm going to a small (but busy) airshow our town lays on, on my own (whoo), it's only in its second year the first being pre-covid, that said they have got The Red Arrows laid on (subject to the weather) but no Tornado this time unfortunately, I'll walk or cycle in so some afternoon beers can be enjoyed.

Gone all 1.5 miles on my motorbike to the beach and watching the red arrows fly over Swansea for the air show, not a bad afternoon.

2 hours sorting out all my synth volumes out so I don't keep overloading everything and making everything recorded sound shite!
Then rewarded myself with a beer and smoke and made a new tune to piss about with later.
Hacked my neighbours overgrowing plants back and now I think I'm going to have a game of poker in the pub.
I'd watch stranger things end episodes but thay can wait

Avoiding moving house as best I can. Humping stuff around when it’s in the high 80’s with 70% humidity? Fuck that

I was strong armed into going to a car boot sale today. Now don’t judge the area I live in but there was a stall with an older woman selling *a lot* of seemingly hand knitted golliwogs.

The Red Arrows are always amazing. One of those things that even the biggest cynics are impressed by..
Nice day today. Saw my old dear, took her dog for a walk, back for some painting and decorating. Then an impromptu BBQ with friends. Winding down with a glass of red in the garden and some music on.

I sorted it, but God knows how it happened.
Edit: just realising there's some tick boxes at the bottom as a mod in mobile view. I must be inadvertently checking them (hence the stickied threads too)

I noticed half a dozen groups of kids in suits wandering around this weekend. It’s like there’s been some kind of Mormon convention on.

I'm still unsure if it's a genuine grass roots meme thing that's exploded or whether we'll hear some pr firm take credit for it in a few months time as some new way to get publicity.

Headed back from the lake district after a weekend wild camping.
Started with alot of hiking over lockdown, which then progressed into wild camping as a mini challenge once I was able. Turned I really enjoyed it and fast become a hobby/mental reset to when time (and other half) allows.
If the idea of hiding yourself away in nature, be that woodland or the tops of fells and mountains for a day or two with a radio or good book appeals.. I'd say give it a try.
If you can't think of much worse, filtering water from tarns and digging a hole for a number 2 ain't going to convince you otherwise.

If you can't think of much worse, filtering water from tarns and digging a hole for a number 2 ain't going to convince you otherwise. I'm actually really interested in this, can you recommend a beginner's guide sort of thing? There's a youtuber called Paul Messner who's worth a look. He's a down to earth middle aged bloke and an easy watch. He has a bunch of videos on getting started and countless vlogs to get a feel for what to expect. I would say don't pay through the nose for your kit starting out. Go outdoors own "OEX" range is decent enough for tents and sleeping equipment, suprisingly cheap too. You could potentially get all you'd need for around £200. Other than that, just research the area. National parks, especially the Lake District tend to turn a blind eye providing you're out of the way and arrive late, bugger off early. Don't underestimate how much water you might use. There's countless water filters that all do the job, but as an initial proof of concept and avoiding that expense to start.. Take 2 litres plus any you might use while walking etc for an overnight stay. youtu.be/P9N1yOzLmLo

Down this neck of the woods, so to speak, (SW so think Dartmoor) there are a few Facebook groups, great insights into the best places to camp/park overnight without your car being set fire etc. Imagine most places have similar local groups worth seeking out.

Had a day off. Had a headache all day so I basically didn't go anywhere and do anything. Now I'm back at work and I feel like I wasted my day off.
