I was quite impressed with the flapping owl (which I got my daughter last Christmas) but the owl in that new set is something else, really solid proportions.
It makes the flappy owl look really cartoon and flat.

Just think of the expense... I’d have to get all of them!
Mandalorian, Ghostbusters, Simpsons.. so many themes they could do, a licence to print money!

You need a new wife. Mine is actively looking for a display case for my LEGO as part of our house move. If she finds any good ones do share. I’d like a wall mounted transparent display case for my gaff

I’d like a wall mounted transparent display case for my gaff We will be getting Sharps in to quote on a fitted wardrobe in the master bedroom. So current plan is to also ask them about a shelving unit / display case for the living room. Need to actually move in first though…

Looks smart. Either that or the Lego NES I think.

I dunno, after the initial pop up, it's kinda boring. The micro stuff isn't that amazing either, most of the design is in the box itself.

Got my kids the Mario and Luigi starter sets, plus the generic make-your-own-adventure expansion.
Can't wait to give it to them today.

£420 for the CAT Bulldozer is pretty eye-watering

Nobody seemed interested in it 4 posts ago. Guess it went down like, well, the Titanic 🤣

Love it - but don't think the missus would appreciate it dominating whatever room it would end up in.
If money was no object...

Oh no... the Lisbon street IDEA set did not make the cut. I'm sad but my wallet is happy.

Couple of nintendo themed ones also didn't make the cut, Metroid and Zelda being the main ones.
Kind of gutted but considering I've bought the NES and the the SM64 ones within the last 10 months probably for the best, I haven't even built them yet, lack of display space and a 3 year old who WILL destroy them have meant that I've had to resist the urge.

Part of me is going they'll do a full on Zelda theme that will launch in 2023 alongside breath of the wild, and that Lego will milk Zelda harder than they've milked star wars.
Another part of me lives in constant fear of the very same thing. It would ruin me. Especially when wind waker rolled around.

Well, this looks pretty awesome; The Home Alone HouseLooks like a really nice set, the Wet Bandits minifigs are class and it can be the center piece addition to any Xmas setup, (I've fallen out of the practice due to moving a lot and finances but still put the Lego Winter sets under the tree when I can manage). While neither the kid nor I are what you call massive fans of the movie, this would be a fun build for both of us to do together. Plus, the piece count for the price is very attractive. Lego *really* need to stop making so many big, desirable sets.

I was just looking at the Brother's Brick review of that and I'm not a fan. It feels like it's 25 years too late and is essentially just a house. The normal modular's look better.
Suppose it sort of ties in well enough to this though:

Hell, hadn't read this when I posted the link:
"Split into an Advent Calendar-like 24 build bags, you can build the iconic house in sequence with the film, starting with meeting the robbers and their van and ending with Kevin’s reunion with his mum, Kate."
That's fucking well smart.

Love hö they split it into 24 bags. The set looks like it's packed with cool details, but I'm no fan of the film so, much like the Friends sets, it's an easy pass for me.

Minifig selection is a bit crap (visually) but makes sense for the set. Still need to pick up the Star Destroyer and A-wing. May grab this next year. Started talking about a display room with the gf, when buying a place together at some point.

Trying to get either the Parisian restaurant or Palace cinema for a Christmas present. Prices seem very up and down...

I'm afraid I just cannot not see Dr Who's K-9 every time I see an AT-AT, always have done since I first saw Star Wars.
