I recently finished building the International Space Station to complete my space collection (Apollo 11, Saturn V and the Discovery shuttle).
Quite an intricate build but rather too much of just ‘adding bits onto the side of the core structure’. I realise that’s probably how the ISS itself came into being but it sort of lacks the satisfaction of seeing the clever tricks the designers use to make a structure come together.
Worth it, but go for any of the other space sets first.
I bought it a little while ago but Ecto-1 is definitely up next.

Went to legoland yesterday, damn the queues were awful. Still kids had a great time it’s been almost two years since our last trip.
Ended up purchasing some RRP Lego as well even though it rankled.

When people have moved house have you dismantled sets or carried them from one house to the next?
Probably going to go for a halfway option and put them in individual boxes.

Why is the Star Wars Lego game on PS5 taking so long to get a release date ?

Never felt like getting the ISS, doesn’t seem like a fun build and the finished model just doesn’t have the impact of the Apollo 11 Lander and Saturn V. I’ve got Discovery in its box waiting until a dark winter weekend to look forward to.

Went to legoland yesterday, damn the queues were awful. Still kids had a great time it’s been almost two years since our last trip. Ended up purchasing some RRP Lego as well even though it rankled. I went there in early June when it was supposed to be restricted to 2/3 capacity. The queues were brutal then so I dread to think what they are like now without the restrictions. It was the first time I'd ever been so was caught out by the Lego shop not giving out VIP points on purchases. I went full tourist mode picking up a couple of the Legoland sets figuring they would be around the same price even on eBay to lessen the sting of paying RRP. Mini Land was ace.

The story so far… Nexus_6 no longer has any bits missing. Wow, in on the ground floor with a mention! Interestingly, I went through the steps I have to do to completion, and there’s a spare 7-long piece. So it was a wrong piece, not a missing piece. Isn’t that interesting?

My bonkers brother in law has just bought the UCS Star Destroyer, however he arranged for it to be sent to our house as a loan... Anyway, my boys and I have spent much of the weekend building it - it never ceases to amaze me how these Lego designers come up with such clever solutions to getting all the details right and so far this looks great. However, it is incredibly fragile and is excruciatingly fiddly to put together. The outer shell is made of these really large and flimsy flat panels which need to be clipped onto the main superstructure. But you can't easily see if you've got everything lined up correctly so much of the time I've either damaged the panel I'm trying to attach or caused some issue with the wider set... There's also zero 'playability' as the thing is so massive and heavy (and fragile) that moving is anywhere is extremely risky. Still, I'm sure it'll look great as a display piece

You need a new wife. Mine is actively looking for a display case for my LEGO as part of our house move.

Technic Bulldozer... Hmm. Can't figure out why they went with yellow for the caterpillar tracks. I'm also not in the Control+ fan club. I'm not as wildly anti as some seem to be, but it seems to massively up the cost without really adding much in the way of functionality. Bring back Power Functions, I say.

Not sure, again, about the upcoming Batman cowl.. this time it’s from the original TV show. Just don’t like the look of them, now I’d buy it if they did the animated Batman with a chin!
I’ve not bothered with Harry Potter Lego before but I’m seriously tempted by the Hogwarts Icons set.

That Hogwarts set is incredible. Especially the owl.
Not an HP fan but do have gobs of HP Lego. Would like that set very much

Agreed, the Hogwarts icons set is great. Saw some guy on YouTube speculating that maybe they'll take this idea and apply it to Han Solo, or Iron man, or Lord of the Rings.
The possibilities...
