More than any of them, I dont see how you could modernise CV into a decent game. In my head, its the longest game of all of them but I think thats just because you spend so much time walking backwards and forwards from one side of the map to the other.
But, anyway, my brook FGC converter has been given a date of 26th of June, so I am going to be basically a pad player by the time it gets here...

I've been eyeing one up for offline seeing as a few of my friends will be playing this on PS5. I can't see anything that says it'll work with my madcatz fightpad PCB to PS5, though. I'd imagine it would, though. I'm slightly reluctant as my last brook converter was really temperamental. |

After getting my arse handed to me by user Onny again and again and again using the same pad as him I'd say it's pretty good for the price. The Dpad is shockingly small though which affected me later when Nick were playing as my thumb and wrist were aching after playing for about 4 hours straight. The analogue was surprisingly good though as it has an 8 way indentation and the 6face buttons have really quick response time. Coupled with the 4 should buttons that I could map to parry, drive impact and throw I'd say it's a good pad overall. |

I can't imagine ever using an analogue stick on a pad for a 2D fighting game.
Dashing would be completely out the window for me. Thumb isn't quick enough.

I mean they're both good I just used the analogue after my thumb but obviously it was less precise. The PS5 pad actually wasn't too pad as well although the Dpad will dig into your thumb as user Nick will attest to. I'd give Sf6 a go mate even getting my arse handed I still had a great time. Guile is properly OP though. |

I'd take that with a grain of salt, its not even out yet.
And, yeah, the pad wears your thumb but, as with my every other game ive played on pad, when you stop playing like your hair is on fire and pressing harder will make you win more, it does get much, much better.

I tend to play low tier or unpopular characters because:
1) I'd rather be a comparatively mediocre fang than a bad ryu
2) Matchup unfamiliarity carries a guy in scrub tier
I made so much hay from light ball->throw/light ball->lightning at round start in SF4 I cant even tell you.

My claim to fame is that, if you follow the FGC, I made ImStillDaDaddy ragequit and send a narky message because he was playing T-Hawk at the time and Blanka ball was (in that version of the game at least) unpunishable by t-hawk by anything other than sitting there mashing jab or uppercut on reaction.
I wish I had a recording of it. I was absolutely pissing myself just being as obnoxious as humanly possible.

Yeah, we played a load of HDR in mainly EG user lobbies back in the day. Shinji, Darth, Ilmaestro, Cozeny and a few others too. I mained 'Sim and 'Gief, didn't really touch the Shotos much. I do remember your Honda terrorising the lobbies, though. Looking to main the same again, perhaps with a touch of Dee Jay and JP too. |
