Yeah, we played a load of HDR in mainly EG user lobbies back in the day. Shinji, Darth, Ilmaestro, Cozeny and a few others too. I mained 'Sim and 'Gief, didn't really touch the Shotos much. I do remember your Honda terrorising the lobbies, though. Looking to main the same again, perhaps with a touch of Dee Jay and JP too. Gief!! Of course. Good times. |

They were good times. Fighters really shine with a few regulars together and a bit of rivalry and banter.
I'm really looking forward to the Battle Hub because of it. It might foster a bit of community outside of forums and discord, rather than the play X amount of matches & done style of format.
I appreciated the recent ArcSys games for having them in, but GG just makes my brain leak out of my ears at the thought of it.

More than any of them, I dont see how you could modernise CV into a decent game. In my head, its the longest game of all of them but I think thats just because you spend so much time walking backwards and forwards from one side of the map to the other. But, anyway, my brook FGC converter has been given a date of 26th of June, so I am going to be basically a pad player by the time it gets here... Where did you order the FGC converter, Nick? I've just been looking at swapping out this PCB for a Universal Fighting Board with PS5 upgrade board, but it'll rush me something like £150 before shipping. Yeah, ain't happening. Not for the odd bout of casual matches at my friends, anyway. |

Finally caved and bought the Mayflash Elite F500. Midrange for a stick, but it’s meant to be decent enough - and it will work on both Xbox and PlayStation.
Now all I have to do is wait for Sunday to actually play the game..

Yeah my matches against Nick and Jambo during the beta were far more enjoyable than with randoms. And as you can rematch super quickly sets are very fast. |

Yeah, I think we played like 15 games pretty quickly. It also helped that I was pretty much dead as soon as I hit the corner

Now all I have to do is wait for Sunday to actually play the game.. I bought the F500 V2 a couple of years ago and swapped out the stick and buttons for Sanwa kit. Really decent fight stick. |

Yeah I think the only difference is the “elite” means it comes with Sanwa parts built in.

Can be unlocked by playing World Tour or just straight up bought apparently.

I'm just going to wait till tomorrow, even then I need some time to lab all the players that weren't in the beta before I go online and then try World Tou, maybe Arcade mode, so I'll be playing online fights on Sunday methinks. God I'm really looking forward to seeing what Marisa is like.

That new control scheme is quite interesting. Certainly suits a controller better than the normal one. Not sure if I will be using it or not though.

Just seen my key is available from CDKeys now, so downloading. Probably won't get much down the pipes tonight though, so will be getting it downloaded tomorrow. Also have family for most of the weekend, so probably not going to play much (they messed up the beta weekend too!)
Mostly be playing World Tour to begin with. Sounds like that works well as an intro.
