Ahh, man. I'm severely tempted. Looks amazing! Thankfully I'm away this weekend, so hoping my hype dissipates a little, as there's just so much coming out atm.

Got Khaos Reigns at the end of the month, Terry in SF6, and for some inexplicable reason I'm hooked on Killer Instinct (2013) again. This all while itching to jump back into Tekken. Really is some period for fighting games and the FGC atm. Incredible.

Glol. I mean tbf ALL of that collection is horribly broken, they've patched out the egregious stuff but none of it is balanced. But that's what makes it fun, doesn't it?

Exactly - balancing these games would be missing the point.

Did the MK1 thread get chopped? Can't seem to find it through the search function. New launch trailer for Khaos Reigns is out, and maybe a wee hint at a return to Towers of Time for the SP mode -- oh, and Ghostface!

The new AI battle thing is quite good fun. Seems like an OK way to practice a new character without getting pumped repeatedly online.

Not tried it yet myself, but I think it's the same concept, yeah. Called V-Rival, accessible via Li-Fen in the Battle Hub.

Not tried Terry either yet, as mopping up some of the Khaos Reigns stuff in MK1 last two evenings. May do tonight! He looks awesome.

I've really enjoyed it so far, but mileage may vary, ofc. The new story campaign looks fantastic, as usual, and I thought it was a lot of fun, but some may feel its a little short, I guess. The available new characters all also seem pretty cool: Cyrax surprised me, actually, as I expected to gravitate more to Noob and Sektor, but she's been a pleasant surprise.

The new additions to the SP modes (finally a fucking map for Invasions!) and the Towers of Time with new weekly challenges are great for players like me, as I tend to find just playing online a bit too draining at times the older I get, but that'll be a case of if it floats your boat, etc.

The Animalities are awesome, yeah The PC port is also slowly but surely getting smoother now (if that's relevant).

It's pricey, though. No doubt. So unless you're really interested in the above, it may be worth holding off for a bit, especially with so much content dropping across the genre in general.

That sounds pretty appealing. Solid SP content in a fighting game is often lacking, but it is good to see the recent ones have tried to correct that (MK has always done quite well on that account, with its nutty story mode).

MK1 is the only fighting game I didn't pick up of the big three that have recently released. Should probably get around to it, although I did find I drifted away from both SF6 and T8 quite quickly. I really liked both (especially T8), but being absolutely rubbish at multiplayer does limit all of them.

Yeah I have been dismayed by the pricing model but I've never seen the FGC in such rude health. On a simpler level I had so much fun playing MvC2 last week with a mate. We really are eating well.

Bring back Dramatic Battle.
