Any Kevin Smith fans?
I watched Clerks 3 last night with low expectations following the reboot and was so pleasantly surprised. Uncharacteristically touching and the quality of everything from the acting to the directing is on another level. Easy, easy recommendation to any current or lapsed fans. You can tell he poured his soul into it; it's his best work for a long, long time - if not ever

Last one I REALLY liked was Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back. Where is this among Clerks II and Jay & Bob Reboot?
And also, even though I say Strike Back is the last film of his I enjoyed, I tune into his Fatman Beyond podcast weekly so it's not like I really dislike him or anything.

It's on Amazon for £10 rental (!). I went halves with a mate though.
I actually quite liked Clerks 2 but 3 was a step up for sure. I don't really hesitate in saying that it should be in the conversation of the best VA films.
It's actually a shock that this comes right off the back of Reboot which I thought was really iffy (apparently Stan Lee dying threw a spanner in the works of that film).

Well I think the Oscars are sorted for 2024 then, Cocaine Bear will be cleaning up. Looks very, very silly and I'm there for it, cast not too shabby either with Ray Liotta (RIP), Character Actress Margo Martindale, Alden Ehrenreich, Keri Russell and Isaiah Whitlock. I predict it will not be completely...

I mean, the trailer is entirely unsurprising and pretty much what I thought.
But I'd have preferred a full on grindhouse, gritty, weird bearsploitation film. Not played for laughs.
