Criminal Minds Suspect Behaviour
Spin off series that follows the same formula, but with quite a standout cast who do a decent job - although Whittaker pretending to get into the killers' heads didn't quite work at times. They do a good job with the variety, and as with the main show, depicting some horrific crimes in a way that doesn't rely on gore.

Startup S1-2 (amazon prime),
I originally gave up on this as I could not take Martin Freeman seriously as a hard man corrupt FBI agent. Also the l33t haxors stuff is a bit eye rolling at some points.
Persevered with it and it's.....ok. It feels like a set of missed opportunities though. The gangsta bloke has the better developed story line and character arc, while most of the others seem a bit arbitrary in their actions. The main young bloke is completely baffling wrt what he's there for. At every obstacle he goes "hey, I've got an idea how to solve this" and then proceeds to actually not do anything of any use or even at all.
It comes to a (rather abrupt) conclusion at the end of S2 that sort of ties everything up. There is a S3 on amazon but I'm not really feeling engaged with it tbh.

The Undoing
Hugh Grant now has a ball bag face and Nicole Kidman looks like her face has been cut off and stretched over a balloon. She also has really bloodshot eyes throughout.

Finally finished White Lotus. I have got to qualify my review by saying that every actor in this was very good. That can't be denied. It's just a shame that I hated virtually every character. So much so that I struggle to name a character that I didn't want to end up dead at the end. Having now written this, I did enjoy the service staff. The poor hotel manager and the spa manager were my favourites. Everybody else though? They can fuck off. Maybe I am too poor to sympathise with rich people problems tm. 4/10

Many times the Hawaiian singing made me think of the Vicar Of Dibley music (lord is my shepherd choral stuff) which is odd as I've only seen about 3 episodes of that. Probably exposed to it through collective culture far more than being a 'watcher'. I guessed who was going to cart it very early, but I was never totally sure because it never ramps up to characters being at each other's throats despite what the very first scene suggests. A very odd modern morality play that is in no way a thriller or explicitly who-done-it It drops lots of hot pebbles (about human nature and privilege) for example the books the girls read are 'choice' but doesn't drop any hot ROCKS. I liked it almost because of that. 7/10

My Hero Academia S3
Other than one major plot development it’s kind of a retread at this stage. Still fun though. Some characters are just unmitigated cocks. You’d think they had some redeeming qualities to them, but not really. It’s getting tiresome at this stage.
Can we not just focus on the guy with eyeballs growing out of wings growing out his arms? He’s boss.

Ted Lasso S1. 9/10. That really was every bit as good as previous reviews suggested. Laugh out loud funny, but the characters develop proper depth so it's not just for the lols. Couple of "British" stereotypes that irked but understand they've got to sell it to a US audience. Bloody lovely.

Ghosts series 3
Just as funny and clever and daft as the previous two. The Horrible Histories cast as brilliant as ever, the living couple excellent too. Plus more Charlotte Ritchie on my telly is always welcome.

Not so sure about S2 of Ted... The Christmas episode was, well, a Christmas episode in August. The episode after that seems to be on a downward trend. It's still perfectly watchable and has a few laughs along the way, but just doesn't have the magic of S1 for me.
Anyway, back on topic... Handmaid's Tale S4 - 8/10 Probably the most consistent season since the first one, no especially weak episodes where you find yourself wondering why you're still watching it (which seemed to happen a lot in the previous seasons)

Grey's Anatomy series 17.
It was ok I guess. Grey was in coma for most of it so that helped. The whole series played like an advert for black lives matter/covid/how much black people are affected by covid/men are cunts etc. which got a bit tiresome after awhile. Education and raising awareness is all well and good and an important job, but it seemed that pretty much every episode turned into a fucking ted talk on how broken, racist and sexist the system is. I think that sometimes they forget that people watch this shit for some entertainment and escapism as well.

Curious to see if the new season is worthwhile and makes up for that last season (and before it). It'll probably be shit.

I always wish I’d stopped at the end of S1. The next couple of seasons are good but it didn’t do what I want and have proper consequences, each season almost being self contained was disappointing after that first one. Another tip, do not ever read any of the books except the first one.

Line of Duty S6
Late to the party on this one and after 5 series I really don't know how you get to that ending.
Disappointing/10
Baptiste S2
The detective searches for two boys missing in Hungary.
Screams 'BBC drama' and only really elevated by the presence of Tcheky Karyo. The original series of The Missing (which this is a spinoff) was one of the best bits of television in recent memory IMO and really where things should have ended.

As for Baptiste, again with you except I thought both series of Missing were great. Didn't watch the first series for ages as I loathe James Nesbitt.

I haven't watched a TV series in a while, my Sky Q box is clogged up with a number of them cos I just hit record on everything and I'm also quite behind. Over the past two weeks though, I've gotten through The Blacklist seasons 7 and 8. I'm pleasantly surprised how they've kept the show good, 8 seasons in. Finale was a bit of a shocker but I suspected what they were insinuating was gonna happen wouldn't happen. Season 9 has been signed off, no idea when it'll air in the UK but I'll probably end up watching it a year or more after the last episode has aired!

Handmaid's tale S4
Other half still makes me watch this. Thankfully only 10 episodes. Basically nothing happens and episodes are so slow. Lost count of how many times they've done the June escapes, June gets caught thing now. Not sure how to do spoilers, but there's a bit of a payoff in the last episode concerning a character who hasn't been interesting for ages I guess.
First season still the only good one imo.
Boring/10
