I hate social media which is why I'm not on them but that trailer seemed to lean in heavily on the whole tiktok and other livestreaming social shit 8n the world today. Hopefully its just a extra layer on top like they were in 5 but I fear it may not be. As a magnifying glass on society though it's probably not far wrong with all these look at me influencer cunts.

Yeah, I can't understand this. What is the actual reason here? The PC isn’t a set walled garden and therefore needs more development and QA? Somebody like DF will probably pull that video apart but I'm fairly confident that it was PC footage and not console because some of the lighting and shadow detail for that number of assets on screen is a bit high. Calling it now though, 30fps max on current gen consoles and probably some of the density will be pared back |

Yes, it's definitely almost photo real. A lot of that is coming from the environmental detail, lighting, density of people and the art direction. It looks incredible.

Looks incredible to me. I'm assuming (hoping) that early 2025 is the target with the ambiguity there allowing for release at any point in the year. It slipping into 2026 would surprise me but stranger things have happened

It's very good but I wouldn't call it photo real. Environments and scenery are very good and are approaching photo real, lighting is good, though still too bloomy for photo realism. The character models are still noticeably video game models though.
I'm not sure it matters though, I'm not really super interested in chasing reality.
And let's be honest, there's a high chance that the final game will fall short of this. It'll still look great, I'm sure, but I rarely believe trailers these days.

The women there apparently have zoomed out waists and zoomed in hips, looks a bit odd, maybe it’s a meta-y Kardashian thing.

There is a lot of detail around those glass bottles on the shelves in that first shot. They almost look like individual bottles with the lighting and shadowing around them.
Raytraced shop bottles?
I'll admit the amount of performance they managed to drag out of the 360/PS3 in the original release was amazing so maybe there is some scope for this kind of fidelity with the amount of horsepower on offer in the current consoles but I'm not currently sold.

Need more character info, obvs, but, thinking about it- the character mix in V was inspired- whatever your age you’d got a character, with a life and an attitude that’d (very roughly) fit you. Here we appear to have a couple of twenty something bank robbers, a vacuous Lohan type (again) and some party dudebros. Needs a 50-something character who hates social media, bemoans cultural trends, and is an armchair expert on every news topic. |

WTF revan!!!!!! TP with or without his heartbreakers is (sadly was) an amazing musician. Listen to Damn the Torpedoes, Southern Accents, Wildflowers, FMF, the last DJ et al.
