thanks to it featuring on a westworld ep I fell back into my turn-of-the-century-electronica happy place from which I may never return. i've still got the moves...
(it's possible I never had the moves. enthusiasm and narcotics make up for many failings)

Don't make me dig out the memory of their live performance of that song on TOTP.

The Streets of Rage 3 soundtrack. It's so unhinged

The Streets of Rage 3 soundtrack. It's so unhinged It's pretty wild. Very experimental, though i can see why it's not as warmly recieved as the other SOR soundtracks (I like it but it's my least favourite of the series).

There's another cut of that where Richard Blackwood, presenting TOTP at the time, judging by the expression on his face clearly has a producer screaming in his earpiece to get them off the stage because they hadn't been told about the wardrobe change.

I think in SOR1 you could already hear there's an ambitious musical genius at work, and imo SOR2 was pretty wild already, yet still accessible. I guess in SOR3 they were really off the leash and it went completely out of control. I wouldn't want it as "background" music for a brawler either, but I love it and I'm amazed that something this mad actually made it into a major title.

There's a haunting bleakness in a lot of the lyrical content of the new HEALTH album. In a well put together way that demands repeat listening.

Listened to Pressure Machine on my commute this morning, on the back of the news The Killers scrapped their newest album because they wanted to write more music in the vein of their last album.
Amazing news to my ears because I think it’s their best album by an insanely wide margin. Probably my album of the year 2021.

That is incredible!
My favourite B52's song, this live version slays, as the kids say.
I love the emotion in Cindy Wilson's voice here.

these guys supported Therapy? when I saw them last week and I quite like their brand of scuzzy stoner-metal-meets-pop-punk

More than 20 years (!) since this song came out and its beauty still gives me chills:

Still not a fan of Yorke's warbling, but the instrumentation and composition is great.
