Audioslave, a band that were less than the sum of their parts Don't get the hate. Obviously not Soundgarden but still 3 solid lp's, with the "funky" Revelations (MOTH is worth the entrance fee alone) album being my fav . I love CC and anything (YES anything...you know what I am talking about) he touched, so will not hear a bad word against AS...I am actively putting my fingers in my ears as I type, which is no mean feat!

Something different - I do like ambient kind of music, when I want to read or are playing boardgames online, and found this on bandcamp. it's quite good.
Though this particular track, whilst nice, slightly catches me out as there's a few moments where I expect it to break into Shine On You Crazy Diamond.

Listening to Mr Oizo was a path I didn't expect to go down tonight.

back in the day this I thought this was the shit.
Noel should have just done more collaborations with electronic artists as they ended up so much better than his day job.

As far as collabs go, I do prefer Let Forever Be. Apart from the honking recorder noise in the background, it still holds up today (honking atonal background noises being a chemical brothers speciality, tbf). And I also prefer the grooverider remix of temper temper. Again, I think its aged a lot better. I dont think that era of goldie was that great. Aaaaand finally... if you like goldie, the album he did the other year with James Davidson (as Subjective) is very good:

Timeless and Saturnz Return are great, too. No collabs as such, though.
Love Goldie, he's a proper geezer.

I went to see him and his mini-heritage orchestra a few years ago and his brother, who I assume is called Silvery, was down the front smoking children in need and Goldie had to keep waving away various security guards who came over to try and stop him.

I can't disagree with any of that, Let Forever Be is great, and subjectively Temper Temper isn't really that great a track, but it's one that I was weirdly fond of. I'll have to check out Subjective, ta, sounded pretty good.

No idea why but I've been digging Silverchair lately. Everything up to "Young Modern" was fantastic and still gets put on my playlists regularly. Especially anything from "Neon Ballroom", as it was the first one of theirs I listened to. I could just never get into Young Modern though, the first track on it sounds like their older stuff but the rest is such a departure that it's bordering on outright jazz at times. "Live From Faraway Stables" is fantastic though.

I love scarface. Weirdly, he got me into drum and bass as I bought this 12ā remix by accident, so itās actually the first jungle I ever bought on vinyl.

I'm up and down on Sleaford Mods - generally I want to like them as I think I largely agree with their socio-political views, but just bounce off. But it turns our having a Cold War Steve video helps a lot.

on a bit of a folky kick so will spend the rest of the week posting everything off Lisa Hannigan's Passenger album, but before that, what happens when you realise the overdrive knob goes up to 11

@blue_Mike (tagging not working again randomly)
Young Modern wasn't half bad either, but personally I did easily like Diorama the most. Though Neon Ballroom is certainly worth mentioning.
Noekk: Progressive/Doom Metal/Rock; They released "The White Lady" in 21 and I completely missed it...

New Slowthai.
The last album was a okay, but a fairly minimal, trappy grime sound which was fine but mostly lacked the punkier edge his first album had. This sounds a bit more like that, though still mostly introspective. It's pretty decent and I'm looking forward to the album.

Brings me back... it's been 11 years, damn.
Also I couldn't think of a perfecter name for a club remix of the Binding of Isaac soundtrack.

Another new Fever Ray track.
I am quite liking this one, kinda gives me Peter Gabriel vibes, but still very Karin. Cool to see Olaf in the video too.
