I'm guessing there's another island packed with vegetarians and vegans that's just hurtling out to sea.

Turning our attention to ads that would never fly in this day and age...
It was 1988... how were they to know that D was short for Dick?

I liked the 'he's expecting his tea' To be fair the the whole line is "And I bet he's expecting his tea", which changes the context somewhat.

If you skip to the start of that vid you get another version of the ad where it turns out a cup of tea is a great way to overcome workplace sexual harassment.

For sheer volume of appearances, bot online and off, I've got to submit every Muller advert to the court's attention.
The most aggregious offenders are the teacher worrying herself over licking the Fruit Corner lid (the most first world of first world problems) and the weird family dressed in PE kits debating putting rice pudding in the microwave.

Youtube.
3 unskippable ads for 18 seconds then 6 seconds into the video it went straight back to those 3 ads.

The trend of taking an energetic song and make it sad by slowing it down, adding somber piano and breathy vocals has always sounded bad, but there's something about applying it to 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun' that seems extra ridiculous to me. Bravo Axa

Yeah that was another reason I didn’t get on with it.
I’m sure it’s been mentioned before, but my hatred for the fat kid in the On the Beach advert is reaching peak levels.

I can’t even look when that ad comes on.
It totally baffles me what kind of moron would sign off on it. ‘Our customers are smug, bullying little shits and we’re proud of it’

The indeed ones on 4 streaming are awful, and they're the only ones they're using for the x files at the moment. If I hear that guy shout YAAAARR one more time...!

I'm not saying that it's an annoying ad, but this is as good a place as any to ask should the problem arise in the future. Given that Cubby appears in this ad (0:13s) it made me wonder, do we stand by our fellow forumites should they take part in a stinker of an ad, or do we put the boot in and tell them they're a disgrace to the forum?

This. Horrendous. So horrendous I actually think it sort of succeeds - it's got people (well you and I at least) talking about it. They know they're not exactly fine dining and they're doubling down on it.

lol. That's kinda clever.
Maybe in general companies could save a lot of time and money by just reusing old ad ideas.

My problem with the Helman ads, is before you add the mayo, you already had the basis of a meal. It isn’t necessary to create a dish from what is in the fridge or left overs. Sure, it enhances them. I like a tuna sarnie, tuna and mayo is better. But I can manage without if I run out of mayo.
