Great last episode and pretty brutal at times. Looking forward to this later, is it a longer episode?

It's about an hour long.
And it was good! Felt a bit status quo-ey though, like nothing really changed outside of a couple of deaths.
And their plan was dumb.

I did laugh after all that build up to Starlight lifting off the ground she basically just pushed Soldier Boy over!
I'm hoping Noir isn't actually dead, pretty sure he self heals to some level like Kimiko. Do a twist and have him come back talking non stop

Very good end to a very good season, the show has never been subtle about its politics and they went to 11 this year. Even so, I was still surprised when the Qanon Shaman was there at the end.

Just watching the last episode at the moment and had to pause at the Remington Steel bit. Hughie has some absolutely cracking lines! Started off with the herogasm episode and just couldn't resist binge watching the rest.

Started off with the Herogasm episode? Then started SE3 from the beginning? You are a lunatic! Anyways, here is another vote for this show being excellent. I was here for everything. Looking forward to the next season.

Haha, I'm not that mental. I meant that I'd watched the first 5 episodes of the season and started episode 6 tonight expecting to just stop at that.
Fantastic season!

Best one for me. The rare occasion of bigger being better. They know what works and ramped it right up.

I liked it, but I also think that it should probably end next season. The story has gotten to the point where it feels like it could end naturally, and tbh it already feels like it's spinning its wheels a bit.
(but it's super popular, so I guess they'll drag it out for another 3 or so)

Finally finished season 3, needless to say I loved it! But I do hope S4 is the last...I don't want to see it go downhill.
I keep remembering...."Frenchie will be gutted he missed this!" 😂
I also hope the boys really get along more in the next one and have a bit more fun!

Not familiar with the source material, so no idea how far they've strayed/if they've got enough left for a couple more seasons. Find it hard to believe they'll just do one more and be done with it, though.

Well, there's at least one plot line introduced this season that gives it a time limit.
It also feels like they can't keep the "Homelander is getting real crazy and nobody can do anything about it, he'll snap any day now just you wait!" wheel spinning for much longer without it getting stale. Even this season felt like pieces getting rearranged, without all that much changed aside from a death or two.
Anyway, it's a fun show! But I'd prefer it to end sooner rather than later.

I mean, The Walking Dead is up to, what, 11 seasons now? 12? I'd just rather a show end while it's good, that's all. Not milked until the teats come off.
We'll still (hopefully) have Invincible to give us a bit of the old ultraviolence.

TWD should have stayed at 8-10 episodes a season. They also should have gotten rid of the show runner as soon as he said he was killing Carl off simply for shock factor.

Anyway, there's no telling from the comic how much is left, they're very different to each other and basically unrelated (imo a good thing). At this point in the comic, I think Hughie had tried cunnilingus on Starlight and got a face full of period blood while Butcher laughed at him. Or had a weird, unprompted rant about trans people.
Or maybe that was later, I forget.

I mean... sure? My feelings about it were largely negative, but you could definitely read it without spoiling any of the show. They're different.

I reckon they could have given this series a few more episodes and just wrapped it up there and then. I cant really see how it would go to five and not drag the absolute arse out of it.

Typical FG /craves good, quality telly /gets good, quality telly /hopes it ends soon I genuinely do not understand this mindset. Give the creators a chance. Enjoy the ride. But then, maybe I'm just easily pleased. All I want, is to be entertained. Nothing more.

The ending to S3 even felt like it was gonna be a definitive end to the series until they decided it wasn't. I do agree Homelander makes the show what it is, but it can't keep going all the time.

If they maintain the quality and keep on introducing new characters it can just run and run, they will need to replace Homelander and maybe some of the Boys at some point, which is fine.

There's been more than enough shows that have been dragged on to the point where they become a shell of their former selves because the networks/suits wanted the money to keep rolling in, instead of allowing the show to end when the creative process felt it should. It's just a wish to ensure that things end on the story's terms, not "we demand x more seasons because $$$".

Dragging shows out because they're successful always helps keep up the quality
I mean, look at Game of Thrones, Lost, S2 of Twin Peaks, Walking Dead, Simpsons, Dexter, Arrested Development etc.
All gold with no dips whatsoever.

S3 is one of the best series of TV ever made, though, so it is fair to to call S2 the dip.

It's just a wish to ensure that things end on the story's terms, not "we demand x more seasons because $$$". Maybe I was being too polite. No, it's not hard to understand, because it's a very obvious sentiment. What I'm saying is I disagree with it and I'm glad that everyone in this thread that has that opinion has got zero to do with the shows in a creative capacity. For every viewer that feels that a show like Heroes has spun it's wheels too long and betrayed the core motivation of its different characters by flip-floppong from villain to hero to villain and everything in-between, there are others that like to be entertained. And if it really gets to the point that you feel that you can't support the show, because you disagree with the notion of a network/suits making money (which, incidentally, also trickles down to the creators in front and behind the camera. But I'm sure you knew that already), you can decide to not watch. Personally, I prefer to give shows a chance, rather than preemptively decide it will just end up shit, so it shouldn't exist.
