Quite enjoying Rick Astley on the bbc. I think I’m quite old. Haha, same. Wind must've messed up our aerial, as the HD channel keeps cutting out. iPlayer is a bit behind too, so I'm watching in SD like a proper old man. Once again, you are me. Our aerial was buggered some time ago, and we haven't got around to fixing it yet. Watched Rick Astley on iPlayer and thoroughly enjoyed it. The AC/DC + drumming bit was genuinely one of my favorite musical moments of the last year. Anyway, I don't "do" New Year. (It should be September, and that's when I mark it. Fuck you all, etc.) Nevertheless, have a good one, everyone. |

For me personally, 2022 was definitely a bad year overall, one in which I really let myself go and I'm really not proud of how it feels like I've given up on myself so hopefully 2023 is the year where I manage to do better. Depressingly, I could say the exact same thing for 2023, I did not manage to do better. Anyway, I wish a Happy New Year to all of you, may it not be as awful as I fear it could be. |

Gaming resolution is that I will not be spending any money on games until the backlog is gone, including not subbing to game pass or extra.
How long will that last I wonder (checks sales)
Also lll be attempting the usual cut the crap out of the diet and get out there and exercise daily, but having a bad case of covid or whatever it is on the first day means I won’t be exercising, unless you count walking from the sofa to the kitchen to make a lemsip

Moved house to suburbia this year. The number of houses shooting out fireworks was insane. When I lived in middle of nowhere, you went to the local footy pitch for 5 mins of pissy little things rigged up by the village IT guy. In proper central London most people go to one of the massive parks or something. Here, every fucker is launching them out of their rectangle garden. Quite fun for the first 10 mins. Never seen anything like it. Then 30 mins later it was quite wearisome... Found one bit of firework shrapnel on my fking landing this morning! Somehow must've come into the house when my partner opened the skylight momentarily. We heard a thud and thought it was on roof but there was a firework powder mark on the window where it must've ricocheted into the house.

Last year was massively busy with a house move, baby and wedding so hopefully 2024 will be a year for a bit more relaxation.
I also finished 2023 by applying for a new job and my main goal for this year is to get out of where I am.
