This whole "no abortion even in cases of rape" will, frankly, potentially embolden rapists. Rape is as much about power as it is the sex.
What's a good way to continually exert your power, even if (IF) you do time? Making your victim live with the results of your actions.

I remember watching the first episode of Watchmen and thinking Damon Lindelof had gone a bit overboard with the premise with the Tulsa Race Massacre as it was over the top and far fetched. I then discovered it was real and was shocked, apparently I wasn't the only one. A middle aged British bloke not knowing about that part of American history isn't too surprising but a huge amount of Americans didn't have a clue either.

The important thing that you took away from it was that all the black people being killed and all the black owned businesses being destroyed by white people was just a massive coincidence.
