Trump's lot have asked for Rudy to be the special master. Might have to sober him up first.  They don’t want him sober; his only job is to slow down justice forever. Yes, appreciated. But wouldn't he actually need to do things like turn up to the right place and suchlike to be able to achieve that? Him going to the wrong state, wrong court or wrong trial won't achieve what they want. Last time he was in court, he didn't delay anything, in fact he fucked things up in about 10 minutes flat. Also, there's a lot of stuff circulating that the judge - a Trump appointee - has massively overstepped her authority in allowing this (it generally isn't that simple) and that it may still be appealed to the 11th circuit (I think that's correct) and that even if it is allowed, it'll be the courts that appoint the special master, who has to be independent - so team Trump won't remotely be allowed a choice, it'll have to be someone who's never worked for Diaper Don before. Of course, that all prolongs the situation and whilst it might be his intention to just prolong this until he dies, this won't help him if he wants to stand for office again in '24. Which it seems that he absolutely does. |

I’d be surprised if the special master ruling isn’t quickly appealed and overturned, it’s such obvious bullshit and the judge so obviously compromised.

There's also been a lot of legal experts saying the same. Also, that apart from anything else, the pool of lawyers with the necessary experience in executive privilege law, client privilege law AND the necessary security clearance is virtually (actually?) zero.
