There are only 3 visibly armed people there out of a gathering of maybe 20? Tops? It's being blown out of proportion a bit. Goes to show how few of those nuts are ready to answer his "call to arms".
Republicans are quoting Nixon to defend trump now. It's only a matter of time until The Onion is accused of plagiarism because it's going to be tough to top this.
And Velveeta Voldemort (thank you, Colbert) is having a cry on Truth because the feds also took a few boxes of privileged attorney/client material.

Didn't really know anything about her prior to the Capitol incident. I knew Dick C made a ton of money from the Iraq invasion so was obviously a shit. Still I think it deserves a bit of sympathy that she's subject to death threats and a mountain of abuse simply for upholding the truth.
Compare her to someone like Pence, whom Trump almost got killed on January 6th, yet he's still coming to the orange one's defence over the recent FBI search.

I dunno, it feels like if she were as hungry-for-power-over-everything-else as that article claims, she wouldn't have tanked her entire political career to go after Trump. I'm not a huge fan of her or anything, for the reasons laid out in the article. But she did good in this case, and we should be able to recognise that without excusing all the other crap she's pulled. Stopped clocks and all that. |

I'd also read of a woman being forced to either go to another state to have an abortion or give birth to an underdeveloped fetus with no skull. Totally normal and not horrific in anyway. Proper shithole country indeed.

Yeah but you're fighting against people who either don't care/ see it as a way of controlling women/ suppressing black people/ are stuck between the evangelical base and a large percentage of the voting bloc who support Roe Vs Wade. The outcome in Kansas shows the GQP are fucked in this area especially as they've used abortion as a voting wedge issue for so long. Framing it as a state issue was obviously bollocks because I read since the result in Kansas, the governor in West Virginia declined to give the public a chance to vote on it because no doubt he thought they'd lose. So yeah like you say the law system is fundamentally broken or maybe it's working as intended. |
