The anti-Harris stuff on the Left is frustrating but I assume that America is so big that it won’t dent her chances. Shouting that she’s a crypto-fascist because she’d been a DA. Like I’m sure she isn’t perfect but what do they think will happen if she doesn’t get in? Have they seen the other guy? It's maddening. I heard that Greta Thunberg was supposedly tweeting about Trump being a monster, but Harris is too because of Gaza. She was encouraging people not to vote. It is annoying when you heard it here, but at least there is some illusion of it not just being a two party system in this country. In the US it really is just a binary choice.

If you don't vote you still get one of them anyway. It's not even worth voting for an independent as you still get one of them. Pick the one you dislike least and vote for them.

I specifically don't get what change they expect from people not voting. A binary choice is rubbish, but at least it makes it pretty straightforward as to what you need to do - pick the least worst option. That's magnified a thousand times in this particular case.

It's the belief of accelerationism. That Trump will just turbo charge the decline and then the populace will embrace socialsim as the logical conclusion. It's proper 6th form politics. It doesn't matter that people from at risk communities get hurt in the process they are morally right for their decision and sacrifices are needed.

Rourke has been a vocal opponent of Trump for ages. But he’s also pro Russia and a fan of Putin, so he’s an oddity.

Yeah its all very “come the revolution” without realising that Trump/Brexit was the revolution and it was the other side that people chose.

Nader took away votes from Gore in Florida and we (as In the west) ended up with Bush which set us on a course to where we’re pretty much are now. Harris/Starmer/Blair may not be as progressive as we all like but the conditions to be progressive are laid and a move left naturally happens and barriers start to come down. I get Gaza is a huge issue, what is happening is genocide, it’s horrendous but Trump will be no better and a vote for trump pulls the rug from under the Ukrainians. People like Owen Jones are so up their own arses they can’t see beyond their own noses.

It really is, I use to work with these people, they didn't want to vote for Biden for "weak" reasons despite trump could of got back in. Calling Harris "crypto-fascist" is fucking insane, thats same MAGA level drivel. Most of these people live in a little rich white american bubble where they would rather not vote because of "reasons" and let trump get in (I don't need to list all the things wrong with this cunt as its long list) Also calling Biden and Harris war criminals is insane

I still think the tea leaves suggest a Harris win that's a lot less close than most of the polls arev predicting, but Jesus I'm tense.

I kind of hope Trump wins. I'd love to see what happens when a country that isn't ours bans vaccines, takes fluoride out of the water, puts tariffs on anything entering the country and tries to deport a massive chunk of its workforce.

None of that will actually happen cause the twats powers are thankfully limited. Well actually maybe only the fluoride thing won't happen. I just realised twat actually has the authority to do the other two if congress is on board :/

I think you're being very hopeful.
Last time, he tested the waters and found the "guiderails" that existed to stop someone behaving like... well, him... wouldn't stop anything at all.
And the Supreme Court have just prepared the way for anything he does to be legal. Be assured, if he gets in this time, it'll be appalling.

Nate Silver has it 50.15% likelihood for Kamala Harris, which is way toooo close!!! I'd relax a bit if this is the only thing worrying you. Silver is mostly looking at polls to say that, which have been gamed hard to maintain the feeling of a close race, and not necessarily just by MAGA either (and even they have started saying "well actually it's looking much better for Harris" after the Selzer poll essentially "told" them to stop pissing around). Harris is winning majorly in Get Out The Vote efforts, voter enthusiasm/signs, rally numbers, anecdotal evidence, messaging, and in just about every demographic that's not "white Republican Christian male/incel" and/or "hard leftist for whom no candidate would be good enough" (and that's not counting registered Republicans voting for Harris just to finally get rid of Trump while I highly doubt the opposite is happening). In an actually fair election, I just can't see an outcome that's not at least a decently comfortable Harris win if not a blowout. Fingers crossed I'm not the one with egg on my face in a few days...

It would be an interesting experiment to see what happens with that orange cunt in power again, except the US global influence is still huge enough to make things a bit shitter everywhere.

You shut your face with all that hope! No! This is how it's going to pan out: Trump wins. 2 months after Trumps inauguration Putin invades Poland from Kaliningrad and Belarus. Trump does nothing. The EU plus UK declare war on Russia. Trump does nothing. Skynet gains consciousness shortly after and nukes everything.

It just all fits with the narrative. He can brush off all this negativity. We all laugh at him, but he doesn't stop. He just gets stronger. It is like Ghostbusters 2. And the fact it ties in with simple answers, to complex questions, which is what our society seems to be based off these days, and that is from both sides of left and right.
