It is still hilarious that Elon is still trying to frame himself as:
A) someone who is not active in politcs and politically moderate
B) an open minded thinker
C) a man of the people who just happens to be a billionaire

Huh. I always thought it was supposed to be more inclusive and positive, as people used to get upset when called Black and demand to be called African American instead. But then I'm not in the US so my impressions are probably wrong. It is. It was the popular "accepted" way of phrasing it from the 1980s onwards, I believe by Jesse Jackson. It replaced Negro which was still the preferred term with Martin Luther King Jr gave the I have a Dream speech. Which replaced Colored or Person of Color sometime in the early 20th century, but which still exists in the name of the NAACP(National Association for the Advancement of Colored People). With just Black going in and out of fashion at various times being considered offensive or not. The thing here is that Americans are often baffled by other countries existing and African Americans are still Americans. So black and African American are basically synonyms, with extra words being required to talk about other cultures. Similar to British/English being used as synonyms incorrectly because the English or other people (Americans again) go with dominant culture. The UK has its own, different, weirdness in these cases though. As most (as in 98%) immigration to the UK has happened since the 40s and the way the Empire worked we tend to retain distinctions about where people came from (British Caribbean or British West African etc). Which is mostly due to the Empire existing but also a certain amount of divide and rule, where local leaders were left in charge and their kids sent to Eton. But British people do tend to have a dim awareness if only because the West Indies play cricket and Nigeria don't. Or reggae etc.

Apparently the official response from the Trump campaign team about the way he sounded during the interview is "Must be your shitty hearing", by the way (the BBC seems to have amended the "shitty" part).
Yes. Because it's more likely that every listener simultaneously got sudden onset tinnitus or something than for Cheeto Benito to be slurring like he just got pulled away from gargling Vlad's borscht. Sure.

How much kool-aid must that person have drunk to be so unnecessarily belligerent on behalf of some guy who doesn't actually give a shit about them?

That Hiroshima and Nagasaki comment is going to go down well in Japan...
Especially coming only a few days after the anniversary.

I don't think he's wrong, in the sense that people think nuclear power is way more dangerous than it actually is. It definitely has a branding problem!
But it's really fucking dumb to say "look, Hiroshima and Nagasaki are fine now lol, not a big deal" in that (or any) context, as if it helps his argument.

Oh, he was talking about Nuclear Power? Well I guess he couldn't use Chernobyl or Fukushima as examples since I don't think people are allowed to return there yet.

Paraphrasing: ‘Musk you are a billionaire. The resistance will always be the side you aren’t on’.

On top of the absolutely overt racism and xenophobia, how presidential. How professional. If they vote him in, they should know that they will reap being a laughing stock.

Trump again stirs fears of stolen election claims with latest attacks on Harris
Of course he's going to claim it was rigged! He did it in 2016, he did it in 2020, and he'll do it again in 2024.

He could win every single electoral vote possible and he would still claim there's secret, Deep States, beyond the 50, that "the Democrats" are hiding to prevent him from having the bigliest win in the history of wins, maybe ever...

Is it because he's not been sentenced means he's still able to vote?

I wondered that. Even if he was actually sentenced he'd most likely still be immune from normal laws, like the everyman he is.
