That is how desperate he's become, he's willing to tank 3 billion dollars because he thinks he's losing hard.

Because I apparently like to torture my browser history, here's one of Trump's latest and... well I struggle to call them "greatest", but anyway: "Readers added context": there's zero proof of said images being altered through AI and in fact quite a lot of proof that they weren't. You know, in case you actually thought he knew what he was talking about for once. (source here if you want to grace him with a click: truthsocial.com/@realdonaldtrump/posts/112944255426268462 )

Trump slurring so so badly. Not sure if he’s removed his dentures, or if he’s even higher than the guy who’s ’interviewing’ him.

Considering the BBC, the Guaridan etc.. are all live reporting on it, even if it's biased and he spews out lies, it's definitely getting him coverage. Which is what he craves, and also seems to be what US election results are based on.
Musk angling for a job in government, in charge of cutting costs? And we all know his approach to that - fire everyone and stop paying every supplier, and then see what breaks. I can see that working well in government.

Still can't believe half of American's support Trump and many others are 'undecided'. Undecided?! As for Musk, a rich fascist. Two peas in a fucking pod. I do wonder if people who use Twitter and/or drive Tesla's are comfortable with Musk. Whilst they may not share his views I feel using/buying his products is just enabling him. Don't know if any forumites drive a Tesla.

Musk’s main interest is the government doing things that’ll make him money. He was in one of Trump’s tech teams when he was president, for a while.

Don't know if any forumites drive a Tesla. I know a few everyday Tesla drivers, most have have absolutey no idea about Musk other than recognise his name as the guy who owns the company who make the car they drive. It's why I give Tesla drivers the benefit of the doubt before I've at least spoken to them. I think with Musk, you only find out how much of a cunt he is when you go looking, which the vast majority of people obviously don't (and why should they, I guess). It's not like he's making headline news in the UK constantly about how vile he is, you actually need to go and read his tweets etc to find out.
This will change with the Cybertruck however... I can't see any reason to buy that car other than being a Musk-loving twat and driving it as a badge of "honour".

I wonder how long before we're in a Weyland-Yutani / Jennifer Government style future where the big tech companies are big enough and global enough to ignore national governments?
Trump getting in, with Musk as an advisor, would definitely hasten us down the road. I'm kinda surprised he hasn't already renamed SpaceX to Weyland-Yutani as a joke.

I mean, they are now. States in the US constantly appease big business to keep them in state and we have been afraid of taxing multi-nationals properly for fear they will take their ball home and cut jobs.

There are two ways to go on this. Educate the woman so she has approximately (ballpark!) the same understanding of the world as the majority and she can fit right in. Or de-educate everybody else so this woman has approximately the same understanding of the world as the majority and she can fit right in. Twitter is a very effective tool for the second option, but they need to start closing the schools or something otherwise it will be difficut to keep the momentum up.

Tbf isn't this how some people are in America where they think of every black person as African American, and if you're from another country you're not black you're that country? I mean not every black person in America is from Africa. I still find it weird that there has to be distinctions like that in America, you can't be black or Asian or Indian you're African American/Asian American/Indian American whereas a white guy is just an American.
Odd.

Odd. I guess it makes some kind of sense in the historical context of slavery etc.. Initially using African American as a more positive alternative to the way Black had been used. But it does run into the issue that not every black person in America is African or American. Guess it's hard to change now. If a black person from the UK is visiting the US are they effectively African American? Then again, the way the UK uses Asian is a bit confusing at times.

Wasn't it just an insidious way of othering slaves that caught on for other races? Only white people are American American, everyone else is a lesser variety.

And I've always noticed it's predominantly very liberal white people who get very hung up on not wanting to call a black person a black person. Now I'm remembering a much lampooned article some years back on Kotaku where the writer claimed Kimberly was the first black woman in Street Fighter. Apparently Elena did not count because Kenyan isnt black, which was quite the take. They subsequently changed it to "first African American woman " but that in itself was still weird.

Huh. I always thought it was supposed to be more inclusive and positive, as people used to get upset when called Black and demand to be called African American instead. But then I'm not in the US so my impressions are probably wrong.

Strangely I have noticed it here in Britain where the media is really trying to push that black British, British Asian tag.

Junior, you're on a forum with a bunch of middle-aged gamers - you gotta start adding blood pressure warnings to that shit! In fairness, the URL alone should've been a red flag on this particular occasion.

That Hiroshima and Nagasaki comment is horrifying, the first atomic bombs are tiny compared to modern warheads and each missile carries multiple warheads.
Both of them are fucking idiots, they should be forced to visit the Atomic Museum in Vegas (it's very good) and learn how bad they are.

Plus there'll be a few more than just one or two nukes going off if it ever escalates to that. Anybody that survives and has to face nuclear winter will probably wish the initial blast had taken them quickly...
You can probably guess I'm in a cheerful mood today.

Not only tiny, but only 2 of them existed in the world at the time. Pale contrast to now where even just a handful of the thousands that exist could fuck things up for a very very long time. They're just....cunts, I hate them. Not even taking the human cost into effect, it's how the cities are performing.

It is amazing just how much Trump and his campaign is coming apart at the seams. They literally had nothing beyond "Biden is old". Still, the needle hasn't moved that much in terms of polling, so I'm tempering my shadenfreude by remembering 2016.
I listened to about 10 seconds of the twitter interview because I assumed people were exaggerating, but he really did sound that bad. People trying to claim it was "audio issues" are clearly insane, but I suppose that's a given anyway
