I honestly read the title of this thread as: Piers Morgan: The work of Satan!
Both the pies and Morgan are scum.

The shops round us are sold out of Boursin, Christmas is ruined. This is the worst fallout from Brexit yet.

What about a vegan mince pie? The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Nope, the enemy of my enemy is also my enemy. Leave my suet alone. You'll want to ban dumplings next.

I don't mind the occasional mince pie although I'm less than convinced by Mrs Hermits insistence that having wensleydale with them is a good thing and I refuse to try it. Well, I've never tried that, but cheddar on Xmas cake is a delicacy, so it sounds feasible.

So is it the fruit you hate? The pastry? The sugar? The booze? All delicious. You all just like the microsecond of attention it gets you once a year.
"No mince pies for me, I don't like them." "You don't like mince pies?!" "No I've never liked them." "Oh OK." "This is my most treasured moment since I had the same conversation last year."

While we're discussing the most heinous concoctions of Lucifer himself, cheese (as a whole) can eat a bag of dicks.
Like, the entire bag. Tipping it up afterwards to get every last crumb. Tiny bits of dick stuck in its unwashed beard.
Cheese sucks.

I've never understood how people can like food that was invented a couple of 100 years ago out of scraps, for poor people so they could eat something different at Xmas. I mean people don't eat tripe, faggots, marrow/lard on toast, sheeps/pigs trotters etc. anymore.
Basically fruit mincemeat is disgusting

100%. I can eat a little bit of cheese on its own, and I obviously enjoy it in pizza and pasta, but I don't get how people can eat like a whole block of stilton in one sitting?

Festively-speaking, mince pies and Xmas cake. No Xmas pudding and *definitely* no sodding cheese (although that last one is a year-round stipulation).
Edit: that was directed at cubby

Isn't Mrs Hermit from Yorkshire where cheese with fruit cake is a thing and that is basically just an extension of that, and a very tasty extension at that.

Oh I'm sorry I didn't realise mincemeat was invented hundreds of years ago by *spit* poor people It was said in jest, but also slightly bad taste so apologies. 95% of the population was poor when it was invented. It's a bit like some 1st and 2nd world war food, it was developed for a reason, not because its nice...
