Yeah, it's been a while since I used my collection for anything other than exotics.

Don't ask me, I haven't played PvP in a long time. Haven't even completed that competitive list starter quest Shaxx gave me.

Wasn't there a time when Bungie was trying to make it into an eSports? Guess they gave up quickly enough.

TLDR is they broke the fuck out of DMT again so on PC every player is running around with DMT auto fire hipfire headshotting everyone from 50 meters away, and the IB mode focuses on zone control, so combined with DMT and the ability spam meta it just degenerates into everyone sitting miles back plinking away with scout rifles and then when the big zone shows up 8 million Titans drop bubbles at once and grind the match to a halt

They've actually reached a point where 3v3 is the only remotely playable mode.

Frankly, PvP should be in the game IMO. PvE content will always be finite and PvP should be the perfect place for Bungie to retain players who might instead just go play something else. But they've clearly just stripped that whole team back to basically nobody for a few years now while they do something else.

If PvP was moderately competent it could be an absolute riot and feather in the game's cap, but it really, really isn't. Like the headline modes are 6v6 but probably half the maps were designed for both 4v4 and for when movement speed was far, far slower.

Best solution would be to make a PvEvP mode that isn't dogshit unlike gambit since if they don't want to independently balance abilities for the different sandboxes then they should build something that leans into that instead of constantly exacerbating it and never addressing obvious issues quickly. It's mind boggling that DMT buff shipped the way it did, it was obviously broken from about 1 trials round of using it. They must be barely checking this stuff in PvP and the new mode clearly wasn't played by people who are aware of the current meta.

Something like Titanfall's attrition would be killer in D2. Then for "competitive" modes they could make some kind of no abilities doodad.

The best I managed to get was a wellspring/AA roll. I need to dig that out again actually, love a bit of wave frame action!
Had great fun in it in the season with a mod that let void kills generate warmind cells (IIRC)

Glad you got it done, was gonna say that aside from the respawn potential it's normally an easier mission to solo legend than it is to do as a team because it scales the same way WQ legend campaign does; ie the adds get waaaay tankier.

My play style leans towards the careless. So put me in a legend with a darkness wipe looking over me and I’ll invariably hunt down and latch on to that wipe

Might not be able to do it tonight, but hopefully can at some point over the weekend.
I still need to do the legendary version of that to get the catalyst, so could maybe give that a try afterwards.
