The legend campaign is significantly easier solo, FWIW. It's less forgiving of deaths but you'll probably die less anyway.
But yeah shooting the light things will blind scorn in there making them shoot you less. Make sure you've got a sensible armour build on too, should be running the seasonal damage resist mod at the very least and you can make some really powerful stuff using the elemental wells this season.
A good solo setup is Volatile Flow, Elemental Ordnance, Elemental Armaments, Seeking Wells (needs arc armour), Font of Might. Then use Void subclass with an exotic void weapon like Graviton Lance or Le Monarque and laugh all the way to the bank.

Cheers guys.
Playing duo with my son, but if you think it is significantly easier solo then I might (try and) blast through this section on my own later and he can rejoin afterwards.

FWIW you should also be able to re-select Legend on the next mission just fine. Can't be 100% certain though. End of mission 3, 4 and most of 7 are the main sticking points aside from the end boss.
The main thing the difficulty affects is enemy health, you'll notice stuff dies a lot faster if you play solo which helps you stay alive. Also be sure to abuse any other survival tools you have, blinding grenade launchers are always really handy to have around.

Be happy to help

That'll make it even harder For real, I easily did the end boss solo but it was a fucking nightmare when I helped some others do it as a 3 man team.

khanivor how is your light level looking? I'm likely to be doing trials with my usual duo on Friday so Saturday would be optimal for a carry. Assuming that the new scout is the adept weapon, population should be pretty high making flawless carries easier.

clips.twitch.tv/SpicyBloodyHedgehogDoritosChip-d1NHC8ULth2H7RkkTeammate was streaming our flawless and yeah we came 2 seconds from a death at the end after one of the symbol callouts appeared not to spawn and we had to rush another dunk with 20 seconds left to save him (if emanating force ticks to 0 you die, you have to dunk it at the correct corner but for whatever reason none of us saw which corner he had to go to, so teammate had to shoot the glaive to get the debuff, get hit by the laser and then dunk in time to save him)

New DPS LFR for me then. Same as the old roll I had but Veist Stinger means a full reload for free occasionally.

If you've got the seasonal frames you should absolutely be doing the armour focusing at the HELM. Slap on an armorer ghost mod to ensure the right stat is highest (recovery is generally the best pick as it's the most important stat usually and costs 4 energy to slot a mod for), and spend the umbral energy. Constantly spits out insane rolls lol.

When going for armour with high recovery and discipline, is it better to focus rec armour with a dis ghost mod, or dis armour with a rec ghost mod?

Recovery and hope for high discipline, generally. Recovery mods cost 4 energy and discipline costs 3 so it helps to build a base of good recovery armour at first and top up with discipline mods. Once you have a few you can try some discipline focusing instead.

I forgot to say, we ended up dropping the campaign down to normal level after still failing to get past that level that ground us to a halt. Decided to keep it there and absolutely blitzed through the second half of the campaign. Glad we did mind you, as it was getting a bit frustrating. As a result my light level is now 1541 and I'm 3/4 through the season pass and loving it!
Masterworked Osteo Striga last night. It's a bit of a beast combined with Sealed Ahamkara grasps!

Yeah, striga is excellent fun when you whack the catalyst on it. I've barely experimented with anything else this season after I started working on levelling that up enough to get the cat.

Try it again solo at some point with a nicely tailored loadout. I find Legend pretty tough if I co op it, but kinda a cakewalk solo.

My most levelled up weapon is my crafted raid pulse rifle at the moment, it's at level 40 or something silly. It's my main PvP weapon now. I have the Trials mememnto on it and now have the animated solid gold look on it and it's fucking hideous, I love it.

What Pulse is that? I've got an Ogma PR6 with dragonfly that is super fun to use in PVE at the moment.

My go-to Ogma is Adaptive Munitions/Turnabout atm. Nice little gun. The gun in the screen is my crafted Insidious though, the pulse rifle from the new raid. Enhanced Rapid Hit and Rampage work nicely in both PvP and PvE content.

So the Guardian Games training activity is basically a Legend Nightfall with matchmaking. It took me and two randoms a good 30 minutes, and we even risked wiping when the boss was almost dead.
Not exactly easy, though admittedly my current equipment is not optimal. I'd need an arc scout at least.
On a side note, I'm glad the game seems to work okay enough on this laptop. It was worth the extra money, I guess.

Finished my Conqueror gilding for the season this week. The Lightblade was a fucking nightmare on GM. Thank goodness it'll be at least 6 months before it can come up again.
Speaking of nightmares, should get my raid title next week once Master Rhulk challenge is up. The third encounter challenge is a fucking nightmare and it's kind of bullshit that you get one chance all season to do it, because it'll not come around again this season and you'll have to grind back to way above pinnacle cap next season and wait for the right week if you missed it this week.
