Stasis guns make it go a lot faster, but yeah, it's an annoying grind and why I only have everything unlocked on my Warlock and no others.

I'd appreciate it if Bungie would do another bugfixing session - The game froze (requiring a restart) on me more in the last 2 weeks than in the last 2 years
- Some severe framerate drops (down to 2-5fps)
- Some weird brightness changes when opening the director
- Loading alone into matchmade sessions
- Sword enemy tracking seems off
- Aim assist on console seems off (aim sticks way too much on enemies that are far away when jumping around, even when not ADSing)
- HUD transparency changes is also weird, it seems more opaque than before but at the same time less readable

I’m slowly (very slowly) levelling up and 1516 at the moment. My friend has said always keep a blue item at roughly the same level as the item that’s equipped to keep a constant upgrade loop as I keep getting items at a lower power than I am. I always dismantle them as they’re no good to me, because I have a legendary or an exotic equipped. Is this correct?
That make sense to anyone?

No need to equip it (or have it in character inventory). Your drops' levels are calculated based on that.

Exodus Crash is like the cockroach of Destiny. I'm convinced that long after every planet has been vaulted, and the entire game has been sunset, launching the application will just load you into that strike, nothing else to play.

A while back they made some changes that made that strike more bearable. Before that, it was always straight to orbit for me when I loaded into that strike. That strike and The Corrupted. The newer strikes are all quite good though.

I wish you could just skip the sparrow part in Exodus Crash, but otherwise it's no big deal anymore.
Still better than the Wellspring Attack anyway.

Is there a bug with the Altar of Reflection quest? I had it marked on the map, with a powerful reward after 2 completions. I did 1 completion and now it isn't marked anymore on the map and the Sepulcher Lost Sector doesn't have the Deepsight orb anymore that I used to align the shapes and make the portal appear.

I think it has to be two different sectors?

I went to each of the three sectors, no quest banner at the entrance, let alone a map marker. Nothing.

OK so according to the triumph "Two lies, two truths", there are only four Reflection missions. I have completed Insight and Catalyst, but not Pact and Choice. Perhaps they rotate daily between the Lost Sectors.

You've got to go into the lost sectors and do a visual puzzle to open the gate to the mission. There's no traditional launch point.

Yes I know, but there was a marker on the map, and there was a banner next to the Lost Sector entrance that looks like a mission launch point but is non-interactive. Also, there should be a deepsight orb to start said visual puzze, but there isn't.

Your drops are based on whatever the highest thing you have in that slot is. It does not have to be equipped and can be in your postmaster, vault or if it's a gun it can even be on a different character. Your average power is based on that, and then your powerful drops will drop at +1/2/3 from that average depending on the tier of drop. The main use of blues when levelling to the powerful cap is to even out slots, ie if you've got some slots that are 3-4 points higher than everything else, you can likely just use regular blue/purple drops to catch up a few of the other slots before doing another powerful. This site is quite useful if you're looking to optimise the process, and even if not, it'll show you what your current highest items are so you can ensure you don't dismantle them. destiny-power-bars.corke.dev/

I finally ditched enough of the covid fatigue to try Vox Obscura last night. Was very satisfying to solo that without running out of time on anything first try. It was no Glykon but I enjoyed something a little more action heavy.
If anyone ever fancies teaming up for the master version, however....

Not sure how I've never thought of this before, but if you haven't started levelling your other characters then the weekly exotic from Xur gives a nice boost. I normally start all three within the first week so never really needed it I guess, but it'll be nice to have this time around.
Makes paying silver to get them to 1500 seem even more ridiculous.

How do you get the Vox Obscura mission? Is it related to that one quest about finding dead Scorn (I'm still slowly trudging at it)?

I think you need to progress the seasonal psi ops stuff in the helm (which is worth doing for this week's scene alone!) I still need to do that along with the bloody parasite mission with all of the spinning death traps.
Love how generous they are with catalysts this season. Feels like I've been getting one every other strike I run. Finished off DMT and need to get started on Outbreak next. I'm assuming Whisper will drop for me eventually too.

Oh, I thought it was a Witch Queen mission. I didn't buy the season pass.

Yeah it's this season's answer to the Dead Man's Tale mission.

The cap for Ruinous, Adroit, Mutable, Drowned, and Energetic elements will be increased from 250 to 1000 next Tuesday, and the elements will be removed entirely with next season.

Yeah good change. Interesting that they launched it knowing those things were a problem from the get go. They must have had the changes brewing already.

Is there even a way to see how many of those you have without getting close to the 250 cap? Bungie really are a bit rubbish at in-game currencies.

What does that mean? Get all the weapon crafting done ASAP?

Bring back Plasteel Plating, Sapphire Wire and Hadronic Essence, I say.

What does that mean? Get all the weapon crafting done ASAP? The opposite. Currently you have neutral element which you get from all deepsight weapon extractions. And then you have all the stuff like adroit, ruinous, etc. You can hold 8000 neutral and 250 of the adroit etc. The change this season is that they're increasing the amount you can hold to 10000 neutral and 1000 each of adroit etc. Then next season, adroit etc is just going away and you won't have to use that stuff to craft weapons at all. So basically this season is a hotfix for the caps being too low and people storing tons of deepsight guns in their vault, then next season most of the extra currencies are being removed to massively simplify it.

Finally felt well enough to do a full run of Vow last night. Thoroughly enjoyed the bits I hadn't already done, and got to have a go at some other roles such as stunning the caretaker which was good fun (I totally didn't get knocked off the third floor by him ever).
Looking forward to a FG run if people still fancy it when they can. I think it's a fairly friendly one to teach/learn mechanics wise.

Two weekends in a row we've been stuck on Brutiks now. Not sure how to proceed. If we drop down to normal difficulty at this point, are we tied into that for the rest of the campaign?

That's the Scorn boss? You know you can stun him by shooting the glowing orbs on the walls?
