I just discovered Nintendo had stopped manufacturing the grey Joy Con. They're ugly, so its not a major loss, but I was going to chip in with a few friends to get somebody a Switch for Christmas, but the grey model is not an option anymore. Amazon have a few at nearly 300 quid, but every major retailer has either no stock or jacked up the price to the price of an Oled.

Picked up Rogue Legacy 2. God it’s moreish. Been tempted to buy the first one over the last couple of months but with this just being released god this instead.
P.s please can people stop saying oled in this thread. Giving me nervous purchase finger twitches.

Dumb question incoming. Because the NZ Switch eshop is basically a mirror of the Aus one, we also get to enjoy their backwards redneck censorship policies. This means the South Park games are edited, and the Blade Runner game isn't available at all.
If I change my location to the UK (or buy them whilst I'm here) will I still be able to play the uncensored versions when I change my location back?

When I’ve bought Japanese stuff I’ve had to create a second user with a separate email and use that. You can then switch back and still play the games bought from Japan

I didn't think you needed to create different regional accounts for the switch? Admittedly I used a code from Amazon.jp rather than the eshop, but I had no problems with buying splatoon 3.
No idea about the censorship thing, mind you.

After getting to the ‘end’ I dropped off it entirely but enjoyed my time with it until that point. Some of the drops you get can make or break a particular run though. It plays very well, I liked how it controlled and felt and the weapons felt satisfying. For the price you can pick up for now I would recommend giving it a go. I came to it after playing Void Bastards and wanting something else of that ilk and it scratched the itch. |

Hell, Legends Arceus was the earlier game (to these) and I'm wondering why they didn't bring stuff over... If you're gonna let me initiate battles by throwing my Pokeball like in Arceus, let me aim it like in Arceus, man! Why do I need to use both triggers and, more importantly, why doesn't the game tell me I need to use both triggers? All I got in-game was "use ZR"... I will be fair and say that, apart from that and a bit of rather egregious shadow flickering in one place I do find it good, so far (early days, of course). Despite only finishing Sword, I keep buying every bloody Pokémon game they release (well, not each of the twin titles of course)
I spent years wishing they'd release a proper Pokémon game on a home console instead of the usual handheld releases so must be making up for lost time or something...

What am I gonna do, unsub from everything for two months? 😅 |
