Gran Turismo 7 PSN ID's on front page

I hit the score for gold on the first drift, spun but stayed on the track and drove to victory. I decided that was enough for that drift mission.

I got my G29 at the weekend, I only managed about an hour or so but I loved it and wonder why I never got a wheel years ago. For anyone on the fence I'd say do it.

However, my times are not as good as when I use a pad. I struggled quite a bit to control RWD cars, especially the muscle cars. Golds are definitely off the table for a bit, but overall the fun factor far outweighed my shit driving.

Hopefully I can git gud with a bit of practice.

Usually you need to reduce the overall rotation a bit so control can be a bit more snappy. I find rally game unplayable unless I’m on 360 rotation.

It will come if you persevere. I've used the wheel for the vast majority of licenses and missions (I did a couple with the pad when I only had time for a quick blast), and golded them all so far (even the drift mission! - that was a bastard though and not much fun  ).

I even came top of a few leaderboards using it (probably been usurped now though, no doubt). I'm getting VR levels of immersion with the T300 though, so I wouldn't switch to the pad now, even if it meant doing better in MP.

I've never felt the need to drop the rotation on this. Feels pretty spot on. I've even actually enjoyed the rally book I've just finished. It's a lot of fun with the proper rally cars.

Pole, fastest lap and clean race bonus in an online gr3 sport race round Dragon Trail Gardens. First time I've won online and the payout was less than 25k for 4 laps.

I hope someone delves their way into the roulette code and reveals how obviously fixed it is.

I've had 2 engines off it now. Fucked if I can work out how to put them in anything though. You've got to so it through the garage bit but I can't work out what cars are compatible.

On the exhaust it gave me, it specified that it was for a Megane Safety car and it shows up under Tuning Parts as specifically for that. I don’t know if engines are different.

Yeah. It's at odds with the almost-sim feel of the game overall. Let me race cars of a similar speed, that aren't half a lap ahead by turn 5.

Yeah I’ve enjoyed doing the licenses and world circuit stuff. It’s a good illustrator how much time can be gained or lost in a corner. Getting those golds are hugely satisfying.

Had a pretty epic race on daily c today too. About 6 of us finishing within 4 seconds of each other. Aim was to get through the race without ending up in the sand (brands hatch), just once when I came out of the pits that I did so (followed by going wide at the next three or so corners mind you). I was just knocking out on 1.30 consistently which was pleasing as a fairly new wheel user. Managed a 1.28 somehow in there too.

Did some of the Super license tests yesterday evening. S-7 around Laguna in the formula car is quite terrifying! So fast.

Anyone who wants to "buy" a trophy (the buy a legends car one), there's a quite nice Skyline in the legends shop today at only 120K. Drives quite nicely too.
