Yeah American tracks are shit as well. I just stuck the traction control up and got through them as quickly as possible.

Yeah might do that. Doesn’t help the A.I is fishtailing it round nearly every corner so they knock you off.

Me too, Daytona's road course is a nice combo of huge speed and technical stuff as well, Blue Moon Bay infield is quite fun too.
I demand Watkins Glen though, do it PD, DO IT.

I've been playing for 30 hours, I'm nowhere finishing the single player, regularly unlocking cars, have 2 million in the bank and have enjoyed every second of the game. To suggest it's a free to play game is utterly moronic.

I'm not bothered having no skin in the game, but the negativity I've seen the past few days is crazy. One YT vid by some website apologising for the glowing review it had given. Just when I thought there wouldn't be any controversy like usual, it rears its head.

My problem is the always online, the 28 hour inability to play and the possibility of it happening again.
Money’s ok, wouldn’t worry about it- the grinders are probably trying to collect cars.

After 3 solid hours in it I’m mightily impressed. It’s a powerhouse of a game.
Contradictory to what you guys are saying; I love the menus and UX. It’s all so slick and highly polished.
This is like the Animal Crossing of car racing games. Loving the whole progression and awards system. It’s clean crisp and sexy.
Early days but what a good purchase so far.

People are having a hissy fit ecaise they couldn't play the game for a day. Obviously it wasn't great but it's embarrassing the way people are going on.

A relatively simple improvement would be being able to select things at the top of the screen like when it says "menu completed return to cafe" clicking on it would take you straight there or clicking on your car gives you the option of going straight to the parts shop or GT auto. Having to circle over and over to get to the world screen and then select your destination isn't good design.
Setting up MP lobbies is incredibly clunky too, they really didn't improve that over GT Sport.

There’s so many positives and beautiful design with the menu. I’m sure there’s opportunities for shortcuts to be added but I’d say it’s one of the best UX/menu design I’ve ever seen. Just reminds me of the Nintendo / Japanese quality and eye for detail of Animal Crossing menus  |

I couldn't care less that it was offline for a day, what's pissed me off is the nerfing of credit and, if you've read it, the statement Yamauchi put out. He claims he doesn't want us to have to have to grind for credits yet that's exactly what's happened with the nerf. And pricing cars like the real thing...it's a game ffs. Also they couldn't even be arsed to give out some free credit by way of an apology for the outage... "In GT7 I would like to have users enjoy lots of cars and races even without microtransactions. At the same time the pricing of cars is an important element that conveys their value and rarity, so I do think it’s important for it to be linked with the real world prices. I want to make GT7 a game in which you can enjoy a variety of cars lots of different ways, and if possible would like to try to avoid a situation where a player must mechanically keep replaying certain events over and over again." |

Just stopped playing. 3pm to 12.30am. Haven’t done that for a long time. What a game.
Stopped at the point where I’m sliding all over the place on Daytona corners with a Corvette. Can’t work out what to tune to improve it.

I’m enjoying the game and don’t have any intention of buying credits but can still appreciate the shitty tactics they are using. Real life gives me the realism of never being able to afford a McLaren F1, I don’t need that in a game as well.

Quite surprised by how many on here don't seem bothered about the always online issues. I'm not one to piss and moan like some have but I really don't like it. Am I right in thinking that when they switch the servers off (admittedly in what I expect will be in quite some time), we'll only have access to the arcade part of the game?
As someone that likes to dig out old games from time to time, this would be shite.
