I haven't been remotely close to feeling like I would need anymore money than it gives you just by playing it. The progression seems exactly like other GT game to me. Arguably more generous than the grind on the older games |

The roulettes are just slow though aren't they. It would almost be quicker just to click X for each of the 1000 credits.

Yeah the grind doesn't feel outrageous. A 10 lapper will net you near enough 100k if you keep it clean. Anything else is a bonus. That being said a 500k drop wouldn't not be welcomed. I get nothing but shit. Not any more:

If you turn internet connection off (game won't load for me with it on) you can play single player and TT but the car selection is limited.

You get credits for non-Sport MP, I got 17K for winning the 20 lap race on Daytona that had me, mcgeeza, gamingdave and Nitrous in the other night and that was a private lobby race.
edit: just checked another bit of video I also got just under 10K for a single lap Nordschleife race I finished second.

I haven’t got a penny from any online races yet. I’m guessing you only get it for a top 3 finish, which is never going to happen in my case.

Got just shy of 12K for a fourth place finish in a four player race so I'm not sure where the cut off is.
The servers being down is getting a bit silly now but it did at least get me to gold a music rally I hadn't before and just took an X-bow around the Nordschleife (one day I will spell that correctly first time) in the rain on intermediates and that was quite fun.

Reddit says still not working, 24 hours now, should say I haven’t booted the game myself to actually confirm that, but, fuck. Leaves a really sour taste in the mouth as to how much of the game we actually own and how much we’re allowed to access when Polyphony say.
Anything you do manage to do- credits/times from individual races or the music rally stuff- isn’t saved anyway so what is there is pretty useless.

So after inadvertently buying a PS4 Anniversary edition code which I couldn’t upgrade to the Ps5 version, I buy the Ps5 disc version and have to download the whole game and then go to play it and it’s offline - Fuck off Sony!
What are the advantages of always being online? Forza Hirizon 5 has a full game of Multiplayer and single player but I can play that offline. Wankers.

Possibly overly cynical but I think they want to keep a close eye on user data to avoid duping/money exploits and thereby push people toward microtransactions.
