Ha it was brilliant. I started watching with about 5 laps left. Great use of the fuel mix.

All this talk of wheels really makes me wish I had one, but I'm not sure it would work for me as I sit on a recliner so I don't know how I'd go about securing it.
Are there any simple solutions to that or is the whole thing a faff?

You can get wheel stands but not sure how far you'd be able to lean one back or how rigid/stable it would be. I've got a Playseat Challenge - I just drag the coffee table out the way and plonk it right in front of the TV.

This car on the S-10 test can get in the fucking sea. Haven't even got halfway round the track yet. Feels like it has a mind of its own.

That Playseat looks good, thanks. I haven't got a coffee table in front of the TV so there's already a space. I'm sure my wife wouldn't notice it? Right!?

Didn't realise half the track was covered in water. Switched to chase cam so I could see what was going on, that definitely helped. Finally done it.

That took me many many attempts to get the gold time. It was always round the back of the track on the run to the final couple of corners that caught me out.

I spun off at Raidillon about 400 times on that test. Never mind the back end of the course.

I’ve given up on getting gold for everything. Bronze is a nice colour too.

Anyone got a load cell brake working with this? Kind of want the T-LCM but dunno if they'll work properly with no calibration options.

Yeah I can vouch for the wheel stand pro, had it a few years now and it's great.

I have a WSP, and it's certainly solid enough for my G920, but I do find my knee resting on or hitting the central bar occasionally.
It's super adjustable though and the odd time it does come out the cupboard, it's no effort adjusting it so the kids can play it comfortably (and reach the pedals)/

I’ve had one for nearly a decade and it’s still solid. Made in Poland iirc, probably parts from a russian tank.

Can’t work out a link but I’ve got an Omega pro wheel stand . Highly recommend and it’s a bit more sturdy than the wheel stand pro. But both decent

I'm tempted by the GT Lite foldable cockpit.

I'm tempted by the GT Lite foldable cockpit. I was going to get one but they need quite a bit of floor space, I got the tape measure out to check and went with the Playseat Challenge. Anyone got a load cell brake working with this? Kind of want the T-LCM but dunno if they'll work properly with no calibration options. I've waiting delivery on a CSL load cell from Fanatec, hoping it should turn up this week. With that you calibrate it through the wheel or a PC.

Urgh. I can’t progress story mode. Every time I finish the second race in the trial mountain cup it crashes to desktop.

Certainly up for more racing evenings.

Anyone got a load cell brake working with this? Kind of want the T-LCM but dunno if they'll work properly with no calibration options. I got these last year, incredible bit of kit. You set them up mostly via PC software, they weren’t a problem on GT Sport, I haven’t got GT7 yet but I can’t imagine there’s be a problem. Few things to be aware of. You need a PC to set it up, there’s no Mac software. This caused me a right hassle!! Also I used to have a Wheel Stand Pro (which I think you have) but unless you can wedge it against a desk or wall or something you’ll need something else (like a playseat, though even that has issues). You won’t be able to sit on a sofa and use it like I used to, you’ll just send it flying across the room when you put 100kg of brake force through it. GT Sport had a shit braking model, so everyone used ABS, but there was still a lot of trail braking required for fast times and that’s where a load cell can really help consistency. I’ve not read anything about braking in GT7, is it improved? I’m hoping it’s faster to not have ABS on like most ‘sims’ and you’re required to learn braking.
