Top tip from Reddit. When doing the driving tests you can set the demo ghost +0.2 seconds ahead, so you can see where the race line, brake points are.

No idea. Definitely seems like there's a issue somewhere if it's only 25%. You got the latest firmware for everything? It works fine without the mod though, so it’s just that GT needs to calibrate the brake pedal travel to take the mod into account. But as GT does auto calibration I’m not sure how/where to do it. Turns out I needed to take the bastard thing apart and adjust the potentiometer cog for the brake pedal. Been using it for years and never realised I was only using about 50% of the pedal. it’s actually pretty easy to do if anyone else has a similar problem.

So RTFM then? ;-)

Hare & hedgehog. Wherever I go on GT7, whatever I do, Starchild has been there before and marked the territory with a benchmark time. Are you using a wheel at least?

Wait a minute, it's a hedgehog in Germany?

Started getting rallies in the Menu Books last night. I am quite shit at them after umpteen hours of asphalt.

The rally handling is awful, I wish they'd just let it go.

I am enjoying this. Playing on medium difficulty, doing the porsche cup (650pp) and caught but could not overtake the car in first place. Nose lifted over the bump in Lago Magiorre (just before the banked righthand hairpin).
I haven't really got into tuning properly yet (beyong upgrading the car parts), but I noticed that adding downforce increases the PP rating, which is different from my Forza racing days.

Not sure how else to describe it, but I drove the Honda Civic R last night and just fell in love with it. Handled like a dream, gonna be my car of choice for a while. I also had the choice GT experience where I had bought a Nissan Fairlady for cheap on the used market, used it for a time, tuned it so I could enter a race and just managed to get 1st place. The games got its hooks in me.

I made my first big purchase last night for a championship; a Gr.4 McLaren. Was an absolute fucking joy blasting around Trial Mountain with something that had brakes stronger than polystyrene.

Yeah the proper race cars are an absolute joy to drive. Love the rattling and creaking noise they make too. Always feels like your seconds away from death.

I’ve not really done too much in this game yet, but the handling is fucking amazing. Playing on a pad and the haptic feedback is a game changer. Spent most of last evening doing the circuit experience at Laguna Seca in the Viper SRT, got gold in each individual sector but can’t get near the gold time for the complete lap. Need more practice

I’m currently saving up 800,000 for the Alfa 155 touring car.
Please don’t be shit. I’ll cry.

I'll have a look at that later. I was getting slightly annoyed by my own ghost last night getting in my way after I kept failing gold by a fraction of a second.

I tried it but switched it off, as I feel like it's stopping me learning properly for myself. Also it's harder to spot braking points etc when it's looming there.

I'm trying to do it with all the racing line assists off so it's handy to switch on if I'm struggling to find a line through something.

Only thing I've got on is corner guide markers as my eyesight for things in the distance is apparently fucking abysmal now. I'll eventually turn those off once I've got a proper knowledge of most of the tracks.

I hate any of that shit so I'm trying to get by without them. Can see me needing them again for faster cars though. Really annoying that they took the cones away, it was a perfect solution.

Yeah I loved the cones. I fucking hate any sort of graphical overlay on racing games so it annoys me that my pathetic eyes need help identifying an upcoming corner on some of the made up tracks I don't know.

The only assists I have are the yellow markers for turning points but I'm not really sure where they came from. The cones were better and less jarring. I will have look at settings and turn them off hopefully.

Yeah those are the ones I've got on. I despise having to use them at the minute. The second I've learned the tracks a bit more they are going off.

I had them on for a while but seem to be managing OK with them off. Not sure how long it'll last with the fast cars.
Dunno if its the per pixel motion blur they were talking about on the PS5 version bit whatever it is the sense of speed in the faster cars is insane. The Le Mans car on one of the licence tests is actually terrifying when you first get in.

Wait a minute, it's a hedgehog in Germany? Their tortoises are quite lithe. It’s a hedgehog in the brothers Grimm’s fairytale, which is a different story than Aesop’s fable! That said, I do imagine Starchild more like a tortoise.

Well... more of a search youtube trying to find the answer, and then like a legend, fix an out of warranty piece of expensive hardware that was badly thrown together by a 10 year old chinese kid.
