Actually doesn't seem to be in there, could have sworn there was an assists setting there. But yeah just changing them in the pause menu will change them for everything. Ok thanks. The Gran Turismo way.

Can you actually back out of Championships and continue them later then? I could only see 'Next Race' on the ones I've done so far so I was scared to try anything. I'd imagine they get a bit longer later on so it's probably quite important.

Sitting so close to the screen has made me a scratch on my luxurious LG OLED which I'm never going to be able to unsee now though. Disgraceful lack of care shown for such a high end, elite product. You’ve probably leased it, so you’ll be covered.

Just take it back to Rumbelows.
The only problem with sitting so close to a lavishly expensive OLED is you do see some minor issues with the graphics that paupers would be blissfully unaware of.

Looks great to me sat 6 feet away from my elitist 65" C1 😉

PSVR2 integration is hopefully going to be epic with being able to play everything using it, PSVR1 in Sport was a nice thing to feel like you're in the cars you drove but was very limited in what you could do. Instant More like. Cockpits of any kind tend to work well in VR because it’s a stable reference point. Played quite a bit of AC in VR, the depth perception and being able to look into a turn make it hard to go back to pancake vision.

However you can retry the current race when you know you’ve fucked up

Love the way the cars sound once you start tuning them. Strapped a big turbo to a mini and love the whistle you can hear at the top end. Wheel feels great. Did you install the brake mod on the pedals Decks? If so how did you get it to calibrate correctly with GT?

Seems alright just having it screwed out onto the lowest setting.

Seems alright just having it screwed out onto the lowest setting. But with it on, I can only reach about 25% brake pressure (as shown by the indicator on the HUD). How do you calibrate the travel?

That's weird, mine goes all the way to 100 quite easily. You talking about just the conical thing yeah, I don't have the load cell pedals (yet).

Yeah the conical. Hmmm. Fuck knows what’s going on then.
I assume calibrating it on the PC won’t make a blind bit of difference?

I can’t actually find the option anywhere to do any calibration of a wheel, apart from buttons. Wouldn’t mind changing the point it registers as maximum turning a bit.

No idea. Definitely seems like there's a issue somewhere if it's only 25%. You got the latest firmware for everything?

Played quite a bit of AC in VR, the depth perception and being able to look into a turn make it hard to go back to pancake vision. It does depend on your VR legs but cockpit stuff is usually quite tolerable for people when other things may not. Best example for me of that is Wipeout, I can't play it flat any more, not only is it fantastic in VR, it's a damn sight easier to make turns and it has plenty of things to switch on to help those of different VR experience. Star Wars Squadrons in VR is awesome too. So Sony, hurry up and release the new headset and make sure GT7 is fully VR.

It works fine without the mod though, so it’s just that GT needs to calibrate the brake pedal travel to take the mod into account. But as GT does auto calibration I’m not sure how/where to do it.

Rest mode should be a saviour here but apparently it's bugged at the moment.

Think this is the first game I've been happy to flick between pad and wheel. Dualsense really has been a game changer for racing games. Also turn the haptics up to 150 if you haven't already.

Second hand car shop seems like a rip-off, for recent cars at least. It's about 50k to get the engine, ridgitity and oil back to "new", so saving £20k on a '09 porsche isn't that great a deal.

I wondered why a car from there had a smaller PP than one from a roulette spin...

It’s all about having a massive PP.

Just did a race at Bathurst where it got very dark at the end. Scary stuff, enough to fuck it up right at the last>
